Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

The problem with FLUDD is that it has to be carefully balanced. Too good, and it can be a guaranteed kill once you throw someone off the stage. Too weak, and it's what you have now.

So while looking at the current brawl tier list on a whim, I noticed that more than half of the melee veterans aside from 6 or 7 characters make up most of the lower tiers...

Nevermind the FLUDD, why didn't Luigi have the Poltergust & have it do the opposite of the FLUDD, i.e. draw enemies closer? Made absolute perfect sense.

No excuses anymore, now Luigi's Mansion is popular as hell :D

Purty colors.

Mario looks freakish next to Wii Fit Trainer, geez.

Wow, Mario's dash attack knocked Mega Man really high for him only being at like 23%.
This does not bode well for combos. Watching these videos are going to give me a heart attack.

Yup. Stuff like that just bums me out. I'm just gonna wait until the final game to make a judgement call, otherwise I'll just be losing my mind analyzing videos until release!

"So please keep in mind that the game is still in development and the visuals are not yet final" - Sakurai

How much of a difference should we expect from the E3 demo and the final product? If Sakurai made it a point to say that I am lead to believe there will be some noticeable differences. That is exciting to me, I already think the game looks beautiful, and yet it has been noted by the developer that there is room for improvement. I just wanted to see other peoples opinions on this, I haven't really seen it discussed much on here.

They also made it so Mario always faces the camera like Mega Man does, goofily switching up the hands he uses for his normals. I don't like it.

I don't know if it's done to recall the Mario platforms and 2d sprites or if it's done for better clarity with ranges, etc, like a 2d fighter, see Street Fighter IV. Hope this doesn't affect all the characters.

I really like the speed increase from Brawl to this game. Not too fast not too slow. One of my problems with Brawl was slowness, knockback, and floatyness made the fight seem really really slow paced. After hitting your opponent, you could eat a sandwich in between each hit waiting for your opponent to slowly float back to the stage...

I hope they improve the controls so that they're more crisp. I remember having to buffer inputs really early in order to jump and do an "instant" aerial on the rising part of a jump... that wasn't cool. Also, pressing C-stick down to get a down aerial and getting a fast fall was not cool...

I think he gave the same disclosure on the Dojo. Some things changed, but I don't think it was massive.

It doesn't. Link has the same stance facing left or right. His sword is on the camera side of him facing left and on the background side of him facing right.

No way it could happen for asymmetrical characters like Metroid, who always has a gun on his right hand.

I don't remember that. My time machine doesn't go back that far. Why point anything out if the end result is nothing but minor details?

MISSILE

I hate how Pikachu lost all personality in the transition to 3D in recent gens. It now has the same stupid grin on its face in way too many situations.

Shouldn't a wild Pokémon jumping out of the grass at me have some kind of non-grinny expression?

I want to smack this post. Seriously.

Pikachu's expression changes when you attack it or when it attacks. Just because the encounter has a neutral face doesn't mean that's the only face it expresses.

Seriously, that whole post. I want to kick it repeatedly for being stupid.

Oh, right, the Looney Tunes remix.

My breaking point was using a remix of the main theme for the Wifi Waiting Room. As if I hadn't heard it enough throughout the rest of the game.

This reminds me of how overused Seven Rings in Hand was in that awful Sonic & The Secret Rings game. And if that wasn't bad enough, Brawl uses that stupid Secret Rings song as the Classic Mode credits theme for Sonic. SERIOUSLY

MAKE BELIEVE REBORN!!!!

That will never leave my head... =(

No such thing as an arrow through who dreams
Hopes may burden but forever last to give in
So many things need a push or pull to begin
Un-free to move unless another hand gets in

DON'T EVEN FUCKING-...

i still may snap that disc in half.

Do what I did. Sell that fucker

And let some poor unsuspecting kid experience it? No way. Those guys trying to destroy every copy of Shaq-Fu should be going after Suckret Rings instead. At least Shaq-Fu is kind of amusing in that "how does this even exist" way. SR just brings pain and misery to the world.

Lol, discussing terrible Sonic music can lead to hours upon hours of lulz.

I wonder how Smash will play with the Wii U Pro Controller, I'm kind of excited to learn a new control scheme. I have a Wii U, but don't have that controller. I've held it before though, really nice. I need to get one to tinker around with.

They should start with '06 first.

...On a grammar-Nazi note, is the above sentence redundant?
