I've got 1600 spacebucks to burn

Witcher 2 is a must buy. It's pretty tough when you begin but once you get the combat down, man is it satisfying.

Hmmm, I might have to get Perfect Dark. I sort of hated/liked it. Hopefully Kameo and PGR4 also go on sale.

Also, Borderlands 2 is fucking insane at that price. Please buy it.

Tomb Raider regular price is $30 so it might drop down to $15.

Only interested in Forza. Almost bought it retail but held off because of this sale. Please don't wait till the last day to put it up.' :/

There's a list in the OP, neither of those will be on sale.

And yes, BL2 is great deal but only buy it if you have some buds to play it with. It's not the greatest game when playing alone.

How easy is it to get into BL2, I watched a few vids, and they're always at some sort of inventory/other screen?

It's pretty easy to get into. There's a level of inventory management as you'll want to keep upgrading weapons, etc and the upgrade system is incredibly straightforward.

It's easy to get into and very accessible, but as I said above, it's not the greatest solo game. It's much more enjoyable/less frustrating if you're playing with friends via co-op.

Mechromancer or Pyscho for BL2? Hmm...

Also, I don't see all the games listed. Where are the Lego games, etc, OP?

Mechro.

MS are doing daily deals alongside a few that have dropped for the entire week.

Borderlands 2, Assassins Creed 3, Far Cry 3 and Max Payne 3 are all today's daily deals, tomorrow will see them replaced with four or more titles from the following list...

Bioshock Infinite
Crysis 3
Forza Horizon
Gears Judgement
Hasbro Family Game Night 3
Hitman Absolution
Kinect Sports 2
Left 4 Dead 2
Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes
Lego Lord of the Rings
Metal Gear Rising: Revengence
Monopoly Streets
Rockstar Table Tennis
The Orange Box
Tomb Raider
Witcher 2
X-com: Enemy Unknown

By the way, everyone should buy Lego Batman 2. Best Superman game ever likely to be released.

So, I have about 1000 MSP. Should buy Max Payne or wait to see how much Tomb Raider comes down? I really don't know what SP game to play next, because I just finished The Last of Us yesterday and that's a real tough act to follow to say the least.

The game is incredibly simple, all that has to be managed is a skill tree, which can be reset fairly easily. Your inventory has to be managed too. The problem with Borderlands 2 is spending too much time with the game will make coming back and playing more of it a chore.

The gunplay itself isn't really good and the story/characters were either grating or boring. I'd say its a very divisive game.

TR is a pretty good set piece action game, MP3 is also the same but has a better story and the gameplay is more challenging. Hmm, I'd say go with MP3 but then I really liked TR and found the gameplay to be extremely satisfying.

Depends on what you're after really. MP3 is pretty short though and the multi-player isn't as much fun as that of TR.

Miles, how much do you think they'll discount Tomb Raider? Any chance it comes down to around 800 MSP?

I haven't played Tomb Raider but Max Payne 3 is really good. Very heavy on the cinematic stuff but the combat is just so fun and challenging. I really liked the story as well.

Might get it then, but TR looked really interesting for me. I wish I knew what price it was going to be, as it'd make the choice easier.

How is Dragon Age for consoles?

I never played it on the PC, but I remember it running well enough on the 360, and I think that was even before installing games was possible if I remember correctly, so it might even run better than I thought.

How is Dragon Age for consoles?
I'd steer clear of the first Dragon Age on the 360. The textures are awful and it lacks the top-down view that the PC version has for battles.

I beat it all the way through on the Xbox and really wish I had chosen the PC. I really can't stress how bad the textures are.

Borderlands 2 for $3.33, oh heck yea!!!!! Glad I waited so cheap because I bought 3 of the $5 ->1200 points codes from Microsoft store during there coupon screw up several weeks ago. Hoping for similar price Tomb Raider, never got around to finishing it since I let my Gamefly lapse...

Also Maybe a dumb question but I'm sure I'm not the only one with this situation. I rarely buy digital, will my saves from discs carry over directly to digital? I thinking yes..

I think $15 is more realistic, which I think translates to 1200 points in the US and 1440 points in the UK. Then again, it's possible (although unlikely) it could see a drop to $9.99 which I'm pretty sure translates into 800 points in the US, not sure how much that translates into points in the UK, but I think it's around 900.

I think a drop to $15 is much more realistic.

As expected, Borderlands 2 is excellent and I have having a great time with it so far. Divinity 2 surprised me though. It is better than I expected so far, especially for that price. If you are skeptical about it, try the demo because the combat isn't the best fighting engine and it may not appeal to everyone, but it seems like a good game so far. Reminds me of Two Worlds 2, a little Skyrim and the Witcher 2 for some reason. I think I made some good choices so far. Wonder what's on sale tomorrow.

They definitely will. If you wanna trade your disc copies in, I posted a list of values(at GameStop in the US) on the last page or the one before.

To the guy asking Max Payne 3 is very very good. Tomb Raider is as well from as far as I made it, about 1/4... You can't lose either way, have a coin?

Edit: thanks eggwolio for confirming my assumptions. ;)

Honestly, both are very good and different from each other. Tomb Raider will probably last you longer in the single player department most likely and has much more exploration to it(collectables, abilities, upgradable weapons, etc) and a healthy blend of action. Max Payne 3 very cinematic, yet it is shorter and seems more action-oriented with less emphasis on exploration. I own both and really enjoy both games. Hard to pick since to me they are different types of third person shooters.

never played tomb raider but max payne 3 is pretty good

its quite different from mp1 and 2 but its still a great game. the mp community is very small but there are many singleplayer modes (pretty hard ones aswell if you like that. like playing through the game in one sitting without dying while a clock is ticking)

if youre a fan of action movies you should definitely get this.

Hey Microsoft.

This is how you get people to embrace the digital marketplace.

In for Crysis and Max Payne 3 today.

Considering this is their 3rd such "good sale" since December and people still mocked their potential steam sales comments...I'm sure they'll take all this approval to heart.

This stuff was likely planned well in advance as a lead up to the xb1's release for that very reason. To entice people into accepting their digital design for XB1. And since that's now gone bust I wonder how many more sales like this we'll see later on since they really have no reason to push digital anymore.

So I guess some of those BL2 DLC discounts are daily deals as well, since the price for the Psycho character has yet to drop.

On an unrelated note, I do hope the Max Payne 3 sale causes the MP population to increase.

Aaaand Borderlands 2 is now bought.

Will wait on other sales, since I got a pretty much capable PC I might wait out on Max Payne 3, Witcher 2 was just $6.75 or so a few weeks ago and whatnot, but Borderlands 2 has never been this cheap ($7.50) even in Steam.

I'll only wait for a really, really crazy deal on MGR, Gears Judgement (why? I'm not sure, I hated it but for cheap I might give it another shot) and maybe Forza Horizon. The rest of the cheap games I can get on the weekend.

For those curious, I started up DIvinity 2 last night and am enjoying it quite a bit after a couple hours of play.

Janky, visually crude, and a bit framey, yet full of personality. The skill tree and progression system is full of seemingly solid abilities to choose from, and I dig the way it handles loot and equipment choice. For $5 its hard to go wrong here for anyone a bit curious.
