S'what I was thinking. I'm slowly finding a balance with work + ratcheting back WoW to fight again (I've tried it numerous times, actually working this time!) and it didn't take long at all to find player matches in Marvel.

That bodes well for SF.

You're buying into Totilo's way dumbed down summary of what Miller wrote. See the link I posted on the prior page. And Miller even predicted that the first response he'd get would be this.

In terms of Marvel he is having a better year than in Vanilla and about the same as last year's EVO which is where he was seed ranked in the top 5. He is seeded #4 this year as well going into EVO.
 
It's always funny when people say "zomg why do these sites just focus on the negative" because usually...that's exactly what those kinds of comments are doing. Not that it excuses the shitty post Cross Assault ambulance chasing that went on with Marn or referencing Cross Assault in that article the other day (or the references to positive things that were irrelevant as well) or Kotaku's general shittiness, but yeah.

Goddammit I hate agreeing with Kotaku.

When....if he beats you the first match, talk to him in between rounds and get buddy-buddy, then you're guaranteed the set.

It always works for him, at least

Is there a way to get an event put up in the OP or is it too late? Just found out the when and how for our (Aksys) BB tournament at AX. I guess it will be streamed by Jyosua. Link available upon request, or just go to our site; it'll be on the front page.

I should probably put this in the BB community thread, but that place scares me...

Here's something: reader flagged me to a match from CEO that had a surprising ending. The match took place in a cage. The winner gets so excited that he rips off part of the cage. Not the most amazing scene—could've been shot better—but not bad...

Delay the later hits of strings (if possible), use single hits, use AA more since most are looking for BB, go for more throws.
 
Most of the "outrage" about that story was because out of all the things, game related things mind you, that happened during CEO, they decide to report on an unrelated personal debacle that is based on speculation at this point.

Simple answer is to be less predictable and use more pokes. But it's common for people to practice using JG against obvious strings.

Women in the military have names and ranks, or are addressed as ma'am if they're an officer. Addressing them as anything else is disrespectful.
 
It was the completely unnecessary meta-commentary that got to me. Pulling the police report was actually a good thing that cleared up the context of the situation, at least.

I knew the article was coming because Kotaku's gonna Kotak, but despite Jebailey asking them to maybe cover the good stuff that happened there, they decided to go and bring up Cross Assault coupled with that one, awful quote, then the charity drive as if to say "see, we cover the bad and the good!" as a response to his request.

They're unprofessional scum.

And it should be obvious by now that gender is their slam-dunk hot button issue because they can't touch race and class with a 10 foot pole.

That was problem with it myself. I'm curious if it would've gotten any press it has if it was done outside of any FG tournament.

Being an Orlando native, CEO was my first ever attendance to a fighting game tournament and I freakin' loved it. Playing Divekick was the tits and meeting a lot of the famous top players in person was fucking awesome.

I meant in general sense, like three females, not in terms of a specific individual, of course that would be disrespectful. (This is from my own time in)
