Not even, really. He just gets put in a pool without any other seeded players, and when he gets out of pools, his semis pool has lower seeded players in in.

The way I understand it is that they tweak the brackets to space apart high seeded players as much as they can. No line cutting allowed.

How EVO seed points work: If you have any points whatsoever, you will be the only person in your pool that has points (and therefore distanced from other seeded players). The exception is when the number of seeded players > number of pools. In that case players with few points are likely to meet in-pool.

displaylag only has a small listing of monitors. Most are above the 18ms that folks want which is why I'm asking how I can tell.

Displaylag uses a different method than the timer+camera tests that other sites do, so their ratings are usually a few ms higher.
