Premium Gold (Pokemon Center Exclusive)

I want the gold one.

Like hell Nintendo would only release one special edition 3DS for Pokemon.

They'd make the collector's pay for two different editions.

I'm generally not a fan of special editions and that's true in this case, too, but the design is pretty cool.

Looks nice to me. One red and one blue I presume. I really wish they'd just do a solid colour for the machines, having black on the inside is lame. Should be all blue.

Edit: Nope, just blue.

I was nervous about a X/Y special edition, but in the end I am glad I went ahead and got a Pink/White one. Its black on the inside, eewww. Black on the 3DS XL just looks dull and boring.

The top of it does look nice tho.

Way too gaudy. I thought the Pikachu one was more stylish.

The 3DS XL hardware design really is remarkably capable of making any non solid color design look straight up awful. I can't really think of any of the special edition XL designs I have liked and I generally like all the different console limited designs.

Can someone explain to someone unfamiliar with Pokemon why there are two supposedly separate games of the same type coming out at the same time on the same console?

Doesn't look awful I guess. Would've been better if it was all black or all white or all any color. Animal Crossing XL is still the best XL

Also, this better come westward. I can only imagine this selling extremely well.

Looks meh, how about bringing the Charizard one over Nintendo? I'm waiting till Black Friday to get a 3DS XL, I've waited for several months, what's 4 or 5 more?

Each version has its own exclusive Pokemon, regions, items, etc. to encourage trading and connectivity between players.

It's hard for me to believe you've never heard of Pokemon. Anyway, two different versions is supposed to encourage training. Or double dipping from the hardcore.
