That's basically the gist of it.

Honestly, every time I think of Sarus, I think horsehead so it completely slipped my mind.
Just because a connection is possible doesn't mean it's likely, or even appropriate for the context.
 
Okay, I am interested in the game. Izayaoi looks like a cross between Weaker and Morrigan. Can she play keepaway with the shots into teleports, though? The guy you posted always rushed afterward. Do any of those shots into teleports or shots into dashes cost meter?

She's a dual stance character, you do combos in stance 1 to build up stars *those little orbs above her super bar* Then teleports or moves you do in her offensive stance have a cost.

She's a very mix up bait and switch heavy character. You are basically fishing for hits, then once you get one you go to town.

The guy in the video did his Overdrive right away because when she's in her overdrive state she gains stars passively

Izayoi's Drive allows her to enter an alternate mode called Gain Art, giving her new ground dashes, C normals, special moves, and extensions. When in Gain Art, Izayoi gains tremendous mix-up and pressure potential, contrasting the defensive style of her normal mode.

:P it's not the complex type of stance character it's more of a offensive and defensive swaping at the press of a single button :P You do more work with Dormamu's glowy hands than that :P

And they're adding TWO stance characters when previously there were none?! ASW must be out of ideas...They must have given her stances because otherwise she would have Hakumen's mechanic.

My opposition to stances has nothing to do with loathing complexity. You know I like complex characters. Stances are a creatively bankrupt approach to character design. They're just a bad idea. There's no real reason, for example, for her to not have Hakumen's system in terms of gameplay.

Are they at least upping chip damage in the game so more than on play style is viable?

Nah Hakumen, move bar and super bar are shared, and his D mechanic is parries.

From what I've read on him Kagura sounds like he might be really fun :).

Flux just perfected Chris G. Nice.
I don't even need to say it.

Although props to Flux he is one of the few players who as of recently has been going toe to toe with ChrisG. Even their match at CEO was down to the wire, last match of the set, last characters and last decision.

FGTV streams have great as of late. Just good ol' fashion Mahvel in preparation for EVO. Only way this could be as good as last year is if the Japanese players show up again WITH Zak Bennet.
