Well in that case CP definitely sounds like it'll be better in the story aspect. I'd rather have 3 or so campaigns the length of Calamity Trigger Reconstruction or slightly longer than 16 or so of smaller ones for everyone. Didn't really care for it in Persona 4 Arena either, hell I felt mostly it was worse there because some scenes were flat out repeated (I don't need to see the same scene where everyone welcomes Yu back in the very beginning of story mode 4 times with the exact same main discussion and only slightly different mental narratives or "who talks to who" at the end of the meeting). So yeah imo 3 story method better than everybody gets a story method.

And Marvel characters are the most diverse ever created, since assists are part of the character. Looking just at one character in a vacuum is always a mistake in that game. BlazBlue has the second most diverse, though. For now. Once Skullgirls gets a bigger roster it will surpass BlazBlue, and possibly Marvel, too.

Anyone else sort of feel that Xian should just stop playing MorriDoom? He's a technical monster, not someone very disciplined and very good at playing lame like Chris G or Dieminion. He's probably better off playing a Zero team.

Morrigan and Magneto are technical characters. Xian is good at the game, his problem isn't discipline it's experience and knowledge on the game. Characters like Morrigan and Magneto can rushdown which Xian does but he also zones with them as needed. What he really needs to do is just pick Missiles, he will start cracking top 8s at majors... it's the wrong assist that is holding him back. Would Zero be a good fit with him? Probably yes but he also needs Dante on the team and that's two characters that aren't exactly pick up and play.

Also FGTV is holding an 8 man Round Robin tournament with all the big players there. It looks like a fun watch.
 
The Chinese players that Chris Hu spoke of, did they make it to WNF? I was just wondering because I don't see Dakou and Xiaohai's names in the bracket and I assumed he was talking about those 2.

His problem isn't so much experience and knowledge as it is that he just doesn't possess Chris G's ability to constantly read his opponents while performing Soul Fists. In situations where Chris G would have come down with the shell kick Xian just doesn't know what to do and gets bopped because of that. I feel that Magneto is perfectly fine for him but I am not sure why he's playing Morrigan.
 
Man, what the fuck is going on at FGTV. Neo and Drew are going at it about some bullshit phoenix tech, stopping the whole round robin in the process. GET ON WITH IT.
 
NLBC last night was the best one is months, I swear...maybe the best one ever

So WhiteBlack "lost at the character select screen" but won where it truly mattered.

Also, I wish I was on when you guys were playing Third Strike :-(

ChrisG losing his 1st or second NLBC in a year just before Evo...it's suspicious. It's got a certain...gritty texture to it.
 
Chris G gonna get bodied by a PS3 at EVO and that makes me sad.
I think we should start a petition to make Twitch faces emoji's for iOS and other mobile devices. The flood of Kappa and FrankerZ would be GLORIOUS.

If he hasn't been practicing on a PS3, especially after bitching about it, then it's his own fault. He doesn't get to use that excuse twice, not that he would be above doing that.
 
The best part about watching WhiteBlack win was seeing him swat the Soulfists away with Virgil. I'm sure it's old tech, but I've never seen that before. He patiently just crouched and swiped at them and didn't have to block them.

Makes me wonder if theres other simple ways of dealing with those fireballs.

The only characters with no options are the heavies with low mobility like Haggar and Hulk. Every other character has some way to get around Soul Fists forever. Which is why Morrigan does not need nerfs.

ChrisG just demonstrates how inadequate most Marvel players are beyond their gimmicks and setups. The game has not forced people to focus on fundamentals thus far.

If I wasn't facing him first round I'd want him to win.

Hell, I still want him to win. I just want him to have an amazing comeback by winning after getting sent to Loser's Round One. ;)
