As an Animal Crossing fan, I feel the only reason people ever expected Tom Nook was because he seemed like the most fighting-ready of all the Animal Crossing characters in terms of personality and temper. He was a logical fit as a "fighter." Now that Villager's been confirmed, none of that really matters. And more importantly, Villager's move set is a perfect representation of all facets of Animal Crossing. There doesn't need to be a second character -- though if there was, it would probably be K.K. Slider, who's far and away the most popular Animal Crossing character in Japan. (Tom Nook's neither the player character or mascot of the series, so I don't know why people ever thought he had a shot.)

I think both games were messy in the soundtrack department because a bunch of their soundtrack comes from different places, and they weren't they trying to mesh them together because it would just take away from one another.I do not think there was any cohesion in either sound track. Sound quality... thats another story and varies on who you are talking to. But the selection, its just a collage.



That said, Imma need Jazz and hip hop remixes of something in smash 4. If you could get a hip hop remix of a legendary nintendo track or sonic or megaman track. Which one would it be?

Development didn't start until after Kid Icarus was completed. Based on Sakurai's Tweet history from that period, I don't think actual development began until May 2012.
