Silva showed at the end of the first round that he could handle Weidman at will.
He got to do his showboating, he got to play.
There was no reason for him to continue it, he could have ended the fight before midway into the second and had an early start to the rest of the night.
What the hell was he doing?
He acted like the fool from Ultimate Fighter.
