Remembering Ryan Davis, 1979 - 2013

What the fuck man!? and he just got married.

='(

RIP Ryan... thoughts go out to his family/widow and his friends/co-workers at GB.

I met Ryan at PAX East a few months ago and he was a pleasure to talk to. A true stand-up dude that has left the world too early. Giant Bomb, and the industry in general, will never be the same again.

Rest in Peace, Ryan.

So depressing... so young too. And just married. I... can't believe it.

The wife must be devastated... and the gang.... Jesus.... Wow.

RIP man... too young... -___-

This is unbelievably sad. I was literally just watching one of the Chrono Trigger endurance run videos when I saw this.

R.I.P.

This is just horrible news, my day is just ruined. RIP Mr. Davis, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family/friends and his wife.

I hate to ponder the reason for his passing, but I do question it as on July 2nd I saw this posted on his twitter and quickly deleted.

He clarified it was just Claritin.

What the fuck? This is absolutely absolutely crushing. Sincere thoughts and condolences to everyone at Giant Bomb and to his wife.

Terrible news. Terrible terrible news.

so so sad. I am surprised how devastated I am about this. Right after his wedding too.

With the twitter posts, I really an worried it was a senseless death.

RIP Ryan.

You know how GiantBomb guys talk on podcast about things happened/they did in the weekend. I was looking forward his marriage stories tomorrow (Tuesday). I can't believe this is real.

I'm just sitting here in a stunned silence staring at my monitor. If ever there was an individual that well represented our common interest and hobby in the best way possible it was Ryan. Going through twitter you can see just how well loved he was. Truly a devastating loss and our respective prayers, well wishes, and thoughts are with his family and friends in their time of need.

Godspeed Ryan. You will be very dearly missed.

I'm so shocked right now.
This happened so fast, he was healthy not too long ago, I've spent the past few years watching this man play videogames and now he's gone?
He just got married too, fuck.

I even spoke to him once on an I Love Mondays video a couple of years ago, I'll try and find it.

Terrible news. Always look forward to the Giant Bombcast, and now it will never be the same. RIP Ryan. Far too young, keeping his family / friends in my thoughts and prayers.

Didn't know the dude personally, but I feel like I've lost a dear friend. I don't know how many thousands of hours I've listened to podcasts with him on it. After getting into a major accident that left me unable to work for over a year, The Bombcast keep me going when I didn't want to face the day. Thank you. Thoughts go out to his wife and family.

I feel the same, like the title of a GFW thread: One of the best friends i never met.

What the fucking FUCK? This is such awful news I can't believe it... He just got married too, I feel awful for his poor wife :( Giant Bomb is not going to be the same without him....

Do we know what happened yet?

RIP

So did I. I caught him when he was picking up his copy of the Double Fine / Capy floppy disc.

Didn't get to say much... but.. he left an impression on me that none of the podcasts or shows were able to leave on me.

I don't even know what to say.
