Remembering Ryan Davis, 1979 - 2013

Fuck Fuck Fuck. I feel really terrible about this.

My thoughts are with his family. RIP Ryan, you made the world a better place when you were here. You will be missed.

Just re-posting this as it got lost in the shuffle.

A testament to how people loved him:

Trending worldwide.

And number one in SF.

NOt that it matters but those are probably tailored trends.

Summerjams are blasting throughout the house right now. I think Ryan would have wanted us all to be extra silly today. I never knew him to do a single thing that made anyone sad. So let's celebrate all the fun and joy he put out into the world. It will always be there.

This is actually hitting me way harder than it probably should for someone I never actually met. I ma just so sad right now. My eyes are actually tearing up....

I don't follow GiantBomb, so I don't feel an emotional attachment to this man. However, it makes me really sad to see so many people sad. I feel really sad for everyone that feels a hole in their heart today. My deepest condolences.

Man this is just too much. One of the greatest guys I've seen on the internet, always happy and cheerfull. That's how I'm going to remember him.
Saw a tweet today, I think from Alex Navarro, saying he wasn't ready for today, thought it was some big news, to think it was this.

Honestly hoped the title was a joke or some sort of fuuny sketch between the guys

Dude just got married too holy shit this is just so surreal

He will be dearly, dearly missed. :(

You can't believe drug users/addicts.

If this is all because of stupid drug use during the honeymoon, I am a little less shocked and start to think that one should know better.

I strongly advise remaining respectful and not speculating on cause or blame. That goes for everyone.

Super, super sad about this. I had the opportunity to meet him a few times at E3 and PAX and he was always the nicest, most jovial guy.

This is shocking.

The man made "It's TUESday..." Into an almost-Pavlovian smile on my face.

Can't begin to imagine how hard the GB crew is taking the news. He and Jeff seemed like the backbone of that site before the site even existed. (I remember excitedly downloading the original 'Arrow Pointing Down' cast just to hear what they were up to in the post Gamespot era.)

My age too...and just married. RIP Mr. Davis.
