Remembering Ryan Davis, 1979 - 2013

I am stunned. I just keep sitting here trying to figure out what to say. I know it is silly, but I feel like I have lost a friend. :(

My thoughts go out to his family and friends. He will be missed.
 
This is unbelievably tragic, one of the best personalities in the gaming industry, rip and much condolences to his family and those close to him.

This is a really big loss. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that Ryan has been making me laugh for years. He seemed like a really good dude and he will be missed. RIP man.
 
Just the thought of everyone who went to his wedding will soon be going to his funeral in the short span of less than month.

Wow. What sad shitty news. I had the pleasure of interacting with him a few times at a PAX east a few years ago. It was obvious he had a ton of fans because he had a group asking for autographs after the panel.

Giant bomb is the only website besides GAF I go to for gaming news so this really hurts. No more will we hear him introduce the bomb cast or host videos. Well all miss the great banter between him and Jeff.

Ill pour one out for you tonight Ryan. You'll be missed sir.
 
this is awful

he is my favorite on the GB podcast. I've only been listening for a few months now but was in for quite a ride with their PAX East panel. I also randomly youtubed an old video game review like 3 days ago and was surprised to see it was Ryan under Gamespot (Naruto Rise of a Ninja)

I'm personally pretty close to the GB family, mostly on the Caravella side.

I'm still in a state of shock currently. Having trouble focusing at work. Jesus Christ.

I'll miss you duder. You've made a big impact. My love goes out to all of Ryan's family and his friends.
 
I didn't know him well, but anyone that can bring so much joy and laughter to so many people day in and day out has the utmost amount of respect from me.

The gaming world has become a lesser place with his passing. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
 
Holy hell, this sucks.

While we shouldn't speculate, this has motivated me to throw out all the junk food in the house and start looking up gyms- Like Ryan, I am also severly overweight, and I don't want this to happen to me.

Also, super funny that the one man who always said "Nothing stops the Bombcast" probably found a way to stop this weeks podcast :)

Feel really bad for Ryan's wife, feel really bad for Patrick (who missed the wedding because his father died a year earlier, thinking he could always see Ryan again), feel bad for Jeff (who I think was Ryan's best man), the rest of the CBSi gaming staff and the fans of his work. Love him or hate him, he was one of a kind.

i met him earlier this year when i was just walking around on my lunch break. he was super nice and had a nice chat with me.
