MS apparently spent around $50 million on Titanfall as a timed exclusive. No way will they not moneyhat KI in.

I'm guessing something like the $20k MK9 pot bonus for top 8. It'll ensure a sizable amount of participants and show how the game is actually played. For good or bad.

Nintendo sponsors and you're going to only see 4 player FFA with all items and stages enabled. Guaranteed.

Even Playstation All Stars pulled that crap when doing a prerelease sponsored tournament at MLG, and they actually were trying to push it as a legit competitive fighting game in interviews and when they put Seth Killians name behind it.

I wonder what the logistics are like for obtaining Wii Us to run the tourney themselves.

The best move is just to front the cash, maybe front some personalities, maybe drop a video and sit back and let the community decide what they like. Taking control just fires up the community against you, I don't get why they don't understand that

Goddamn though I'm still in awe of jwong's run in marvel. It was almost like his storm leveled up during the tournament. Looked free against flocker first time around and suddenly Storm/Akuma comebacks everywhere. Makes me wonder how good he would be if he actually focused on his cheap teams.
