Lame play is best play.

Justin at least for Marvel 3 is not going to play "lame" and by that I mean he's not going to play some Hidden Missile/Zero team or some shit. He was too moved by people cheering for him at EVO and he legitimately felt sad that he couldn't win the title for the crowd.

huh? His storm gameplay is basically run away to the top of the screen and wait for Tatsu to hit. Pretty lame to me.

don't forget about 2014's hypest FG...

>implying it'll be out on consoles in 2014

The amount of soap Yipes dropped in that last crucial game would've been enough to clean the entire ballroom.

PS3 lag etc. The Phoenix Wright player had very solid defense though... which I guess is the #1 requirement for playing the character.

I don't know why Yipes keeps going for resets while in X-Factor. WTH.

Hey guys, I'm gonna be doing online tournaments for Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +, BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend, and Persona 4 Arena.

Eligible for North American PS3 players only.

It'll be a swiss tournament, going on for about a month.
Signups end about 2 weeks from now (tournament begins same day).
Haven't completely ironed out everything, but that's the basic gist of it (wanted to get this in the thread now, since more people are probably checking it out post Evo and all).

Send me a PM if you want to sign up.
Include your PSN and the games you want to play.

There'll different prize for each game.

For Persona 4 Arena, the Persona 4 Arena Original Design Works

Last time I'll spam it in this thread.
Need more signups!

I am pretty sure those were drops.
The first time he actually did s.L after a long combo. No way that was a drop. The second time he did bomber and then sat there; the follow-up from that is really easy. He never dropped hard stuff, just mind-bogglingly simple stuff.

Even so, the win was deserved for the Wright player. LOL @ anchoring Hawkeye.

The second one was definitely a drop, the first one I have to see again would probably be a reset I mean he did go for legitimate resets in the game but most of the time he doesn't, his team when Spencer is on point kills everyone. Yipes just dropped a lot of easy stuff.

Anchoring Hawkeye is fine but you gotta save XF for Vergil. Hawkeye should be a very very last resort but Yipes for some reason is fine playing anchor Hawkeye.

There's a decent amount of Evo talk at the end of the Bombcast this week. Pretty interesting to hear a perspective from someone who only follows the FGC casually.

God damn this heatwave. It is so hot.
Seriously. Copy pasting tweet but

33 degrees out. Bus comes every half hour. Been waiting 20 mins. Finally comes, drives right past. #FML #BrbMelting

Jesus fuck I am a sweaty mess right now. And all the water in my water bottle is warm and nasty.

The image of a gold Iron Man waiting at a bus stop is hilarious.

Some Evo photos from Polygon - http://www.polygon.com/2013/7/17/4527534/evo-2013-in-photos

They're pretty fantastic.

Much better photos and presentation than EVO's official photographer (Karaface). I was watching her photo editing stream for a bit yesterday. She hasn't really evolved with her esports photos since 2010 and her galleries with hundreds of similar looking photos is pretty cumbersome to browse through. Less is more, gotta curate! Doesn't help that the Polygon guy also has better equipment. Talent is always key, but expensive, pro-level equipment helps a ton

Anchor hawk guy won vs ray ray for instance.

Yipes was 2 matches away from top 8. And quite honestly probably should have won vs paradigm too. he had a good run this evo imo.
