Ok, this is my first time getting Platinum, so I only get one Platinum award? Do I get a Gold award too or just one overall?

Just filled out the survey for SMT IV and was lead to an oops page. My points haven't been credited, and I can't insert the code again. What's the protocol for situations like this?

You can always change your shipping address after the fact. Remember, the physical rewards won't ship for another 4 or 5 months. You don't have to wait.
Don't worry, that's not uncommon. It will show up on your "to do" list.
Wait a few minutes and check your To-Do list. I had a similar problem with Fire Emblem when I tried to enter the code.
I would first check your To-Do History (under Account & Coins) and see what the status is.

Another year another underwhelming platinum prize. I think I'm done with those time consuming surveys
I can't decide what I want to choose between, the posters are aight and I really like all three or the MM soundtrack.
The posters look cool and I'd actually be framing them, even though no one would see them they'd be some cool swag.
On the other hand I've never heard or played MM so I don't know if it'll be something I'd like to listen to but I'd still like to get it for keepsake purposes. The poster's seem so useless in comparison to the disc even though I'd be framing the posters. (My friends would also be suuuuuper jealous)

Went for the CD myself. Have already gotten both Zelda poster packs and the Mario poster pack, so I have my fair share of Nintendo posters. I love Majora's Mask, so the decision was pretty easy. I really like the Wind Waker poster, but it was the only one I really wanted from the three poster pack.

I only want the PIkmin one myself, but I don't want to bother with selling posters. Seems annoying. I might just get the CD and sell it or something, but yeah extremely disappointing this year.
The fact that it comes in a jewel case and is in two discs just makes it that much more appealing. But, I most likely would never listen to it or listen to it often because it doesn't have that nostalgia for me and while I can appreciate good music for what it is I'm not sure what to expect from an OST from a game around 13 years old.
At first I only liked the WW poster too, but the others completely warmed up to me. This is my first Platinum year after being registered for since 2009 (?, don't remember the year but I've been there even longer than that ever since i got a code for it from my gameboy) and I'm more than happy!

Quick question: if I have a friend that has Nintendo codes for games that I also have, but doesn't care about the Nintendo Club stuff, how do I add that stuff to my account? Do I get him to set up his own account (or do it for him), register the codes, and then bring him in as a "family member", or do I bring him in first, then register the stuff?

Fast answer: you create an account for "him" then link it to yours as a family account. They will be distinct except that the coins will add up into one sum. You can register one game (with different codes) on each account, etc...
Anyone had a problem redeeming their 30$ eShop credit? I got the task in my to-do list but each time I tried to access it, I'd get an error. I tried again this morning and the task is no longer there. I emailed Nintendo, hopefully they'll resolve that.
That makes no sense you could have got one on ebay for a 1/4 the cost of a Wii U, I hope your joking.
I figured i was going to get a wii u anyways and since the gold nunchucks were in stock i thought i might as well jump in now.
Lets be clear here, as much as i would like to have that nunchuck i am not going paying $70+ for an anolougue stick.

I would gladly trade my OST for the 3DS 18 game case.
If you got gold status it's a good choice; otherwise, I'd take a platinum-only reward and sell it to get more money than any of the downloadable games are worth, since you can always just buy them.

After watching some Youtube clips of the other games I went with Sakura Samurai. Looks kinda fun, although I've yet to play it.
I'm definitely striving for Gold from here on out though, as I prefer a game download to the blah Platinum prizes. I hope Paper Mario makes a return to the e-shop soon. I missed out on it last time.
