Fighting Games Weekly | July 15-21 | Post-EVO Pillow Talk

Sorry man. I wanted to ask a question during the q&a but was too slow to get to the mic. Figured that combo wouldn't mind sharing details about Sim because only like 9 people play him globally.

I asked him about Sim at the EVO panel too. You can see it in my phone notes from that day.

He told me that the hit stun on some of his normals was increased, as well as a longer range on Ultra 2.

I really hope they do that longer range on yoga flames, that'll help my oki game a lot.

I told him that I thought 2 hit mk was probably OP. lol.

We are working out suggested changes for the following Marvel characters this week:
Phoenix
Phoenix Wright
She-Hulk
Wolverine

I welcome anyone who has insight into these characters to post their suggestions in the Marvel OT.
Are these for the upcoming week or just until the coming Sunday?

Hahaha, Huoshen named himself that so he could better communicate with Chinese gold farmers in Final Fantasy 11.

Edit: This sounds pretty cool,

After Evo, Gonzalez will head to the Video X Games in St. Maarten near the last weekend of July, spend a few more days in Los Angeles and then return to Chile, his family and his girlfriend of almost nine years. His shaky future raises tough questions; the competitive fighting game scene doesn't sport the five or six figure payouts of other competitive games. And most fighting game sponsors can't give the relative financial security or bona fide contracts that professional multiplayer online battle arena, real-time strategy or first-person shooter teams can offer. "I'll be back without a dime in my pockets, but a happy man," Gonzalez says.

His nebulous future isn't holding him back; his invigorated spirit burns too hot for that. Gonzalez wants to create a think tank for the fighting game community, bringing together progressive minds, vocal opinions and committed players to push the scene towards positive growth "unbound by common limitations in the fighting game community like regional or personal egos" — as well as establish the group's dominance. "I want to show that by working together, a group of focused, intelligent people can dominate over raw talent," he says.

Gonzalez is already pursuing a Canadian visa to visit friends and to seek more international competition, eyeing the Canada Cup in late September. He's always looking for his next fight.

From the Polygon feature I linked before. I wonder what exactly it is that KBR has in mind. Sort of sounds like he wants to start his own group, like EMP or hazmat, only not entirely focused on the competetive part of the scene. It also kind of sounds like he's trying to create an international theory fighter supergroup.

Heh. EX-Green hand into 50-50 ultra mix up every round. Unless they are spending ten years balancing it out, I think not.
Yah exactly, giving people access to both ultras really sets the balance out of wack. I really hope they instead add rolls to soft knock downs or a guard meter instead....

These Nemo grabs.

Wait, so I leave the fgtv stream when he's doing lobby matches with people waiting for the Chou stuff then he does it as soon as I turn around and give up?

Fuck. :lol

Ryan Hart is there, Luffy is there. Luffy was really close to make Top 8 in AE at EVO, but he lost to Xian in a close match. FWord and Problem X are good players too.

Not sure if it's on youtube yet but I was browsing nico daily rankings and the nemo v. chris g stuff is there at least.

lol @ all the grabs. Chris G(rabbed). Nemo's Dr. Strange is fun to watch.

USA lost $6000 in Marvel? Destroyed.

Thanks guys!

LOL at FGTV youtube account crying about the leak video.

Lol champ and Chris got hussled. Nemo prepared to play them more than he prepared to compete in Evo and it showed.
Considering those 2 were the favorites going in, preparing to play against them is also preparing for EVO. Too bad he underestimated the rest of the field.

There are very few times where I say that ChrisG got bodied ( Zero 3-0s don't count) BUT HOLY SHIT HE GOT BODIED!

Nemo : "Where are your gods now?"

But I mean when he prepared against them he REALLY prepared against them. He was exploiting a lot of bad habits and his spacing with nova took advantage of a lot of shit they like to do and where they like to be on the screen. Chris G doom couldn't do shit. He also had a interesting punish on missile calls. He would just crumple doom, disabling the assist for a while. This was a fucking textbook beat down on every level. Not to mention Nemo is the creator of that team so he definitely had a lot of tech people ain't see before.

I fucking told y'all

Yea he had legitimate strategies against Missile teams.

It's fucking hilarious how much the two folded without their crutch Missiles to fall back on.

I mean ... AMERICA WILL HAVE ITS REVENGE BETTER WATCH OUT FREEMO!
