Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

Little Mac's final smash should have him go to the foreground of the screen with his back to you, and you could press the buttons to "play punch-out" and punch the other characters on the screen into oblivion.

It'd be a lot more interesting than "Giga Mac" as a transformation anyway.

Furniture should be an item.

You grab a little leaf and if you toss it at someone, huge ass furniture bursts out and does damage.
Worst thing to get hit by can be a moon lander.

Yeah, something like that wold be cool. I wonder if they will even use Giga Mac, that always seemed like Final Smash bait since they introduced it.

They'll probably reveal Luigi in the next few weeks now that Dream Team will be out in all territories and Luigi U will see it's retail release. So Luigi in August, ? in September, Pokemon rep in October for X/Y, etc.

If Wonderful 101 is getting a representative, then I'd imagine we'd see that revealed in September to coincide with release.

My friend went to that Pikmin 3 Gamestop demo event today and one of the Nintendo reps there told him that they'd be doing a similar sort of thing for Smash 4 in the future. Probably not going to happen any time soon, but at least we know we'll be able to play it before launch.

Andy is the poster boy of the Advance Wars franchise. Including Sami instead of Andy would be like including Jody Summer instead of Captain Falcon.

Sami: inherits snake's moveset

andy: moveset based on advance wars units. Like: side-smash: neotank shot; up-b: ride a t-copter upward. down-air: bomber drops bombs. Units appear for a split second to act and then vanish.

It's not necessarily a given, but the factors behind its potentiality are evident: it's a Wii U-exclusive, Nintendo-published game; it's very character-centric; its action qualities lend obvious movesets; the art style would mesh with other Nintendo properties; and it might drive interest (even if only retroactively) in Wonderful 101, which Nintendo would only benefit from.

if this is true then I be spending a lot of time at gamestop lol

Yeah. I mean, it's not like it's Bayonetta or something.

Yeah, they could have a unique moveset, and Sakurai and Kamiya have been buddy-buddy lately. Not really evidence of anything but he humored Kojima because he was his friend.

Mostly it would be good advertising for a brand new IP.

Yeah, but people were saying the same thing in 2006 about games like Chibi-Robo!, Starfy, Golden Sun, Custom Robo, and more. Look how that turned out. Sakurai could always surprise me with what games he chooses to represent with characters, but so far he's only included new series (Animal Crossing and Wii Fit) that fall in line with the first three Smash Bros. There will always be a focus on major internally-developed series. The few second-party properties that have gotten playable characters in Smash Bros. have either sold in the tens of millions or have a personal connection to HAL Laboratory/Sakurai himself. The Wonderful 101 is "just another game" with no guarantee of success (and let's be honest, it probably isn't going to do so well). It's practically the reason Assist Trophies exist.

Don't forget - Sakurai and Kamiya are close friends, and Kamiya loves Smash Bros. He pretty much said "who wouldn't?" when asked if he had the chance to have his character represented (even though it was in the context of Bayonetta). Sakurai was also sighted at Platinum for one reason or another (checking out his projects or proposing a deal?).

I honestly think the chance of them appearing is bigger than the chance of them not appearing, and it's one of the few brand new IPs Nintendo can represent because the TW101 property belongs to them. It would really not be hard to make it happen.

If it weren't for Smash Bros, Kid Icarus would never have gotten a modern sequel. His inclusion increased his popularity, and the same can be said for a lot of obscure Smash inclusions.

"Success" doesn't have much to do with it. It's about representing Nintendo history, and TW101 qualifies. Nintendo especially know this considering how well they've been treating it and how they acknowledge it's popularity around groups and communities and it's relevance as a new franchise that Nintendo can call it's own.

I know this has probably been pointed out but they're using the "smooth" Pikachu design this time around, removing all charm he once possessed.

Gross.

I honestly don't see much of a difference in Pikachu. He lost some weight since red/blue I guess. But they've been using this clean look for a while.

lol
Those reps know even less than us but we'll see

Pikachu looks adorable in that picture. ^_^

Also, the other Pikachu picture posted is the first one I've seen where Pikachu actually has a different expression for his face.

I really hope that we are getting more characters from series that haven't debut on Smash yet.

Also don't forget the tweets between Sakurai and Kamiya

Gross.

Don't mind this Pikachu design.

I think a Monster Hunter should be in. Plethora of weapons and a lot of moves would make him a solid fighter.

So hyped for this.

Wonderful 101 may get some mentions in Smash but a character is very unlikely. As cool as the characters are, they have no history to support them, and that has always seemed to be the first requisite to enter the roster (WFT at least has 2 released games and is one generation old).
