3DS Streetpass Experiences

I just did a room in Monster Manor with 9 chests: 2 wooden (or copper?), 2 silver and 5 gold. Awesome!
Still no team up option.

Because even after you have played it multiple times Mendel will still give you the same lengthy tutorial text every time you start it up until you grow a flower (which could take a lot of start ups depending on your streetpasses) or reach some other arbitrary goal, and this happens over and over as the game seemingly never stops explaining new things to you or repeating the same things you already know.

It's the very worst of Nintendo's lengthy tutorials and constant repeating of stuff they don't need to tell you summed up in one game.
It doesn't bother me in Flower Town at all, but I really really hate this in Mii Force, specially when you die and have to watch the explanation and intro all over again.

hmmm... I only get one or two sentences and a preview of the flower I've planted before the visitors come in.
takes like 7 seconds.

Mii Force is waaaay worse in that regard.
maybe the pure collecting aspect and chilled mood of Garden isn't for everyone.
I love it.

edit:

and even if you dislike it, you need it to show of your awesome new hats! ;)

It's still 7 seconds that is completely unnecessary and adds up over time.
The fact that Nintendo even added a "Hold R to fast forward" shows that they know it is a problem but they keep doing it. Streetpass Mansion and puzzle swap are the only games that don't really have a problem with having to skip over the same text over and over.

R-Button speedup is there since day one of the streetpass games (puzzle swap/Find Mii 1).

ah well, you don't have to like the game.

Sometimes I wish I had let all my MK7 opponent Miis come to my Plaza. There's still around 70 of them, but I deleted some and turned Invite Mii off to prevent more from coming. Now I really can't do anything in the Warrior game...
I remember hearing the opponent strength was based on your strength so having less can be more in this case (buying troops via play coins gives you a bigger boost too). However, it limits your ability to level up, I suppose (unless this is also based on your strength).

Then again I'm only a few kingdoms in so there might be a massive difficulty spike coming up.

But Mansion has the problem instead of the hiring investigator animation. Its slow enough when holding R but is nearly "has the game crashed?" level without.

I am well aware that the speed up has been there since day one and I like all the games, I just don't like the constant repetition of tutorial text that is a problem in a lot of them.

Oh, I've only ever used coins on Streetpass Squad and Battle so I've never seen that animation.

OK, i can settle on that. maybe I just don't care so much about that text stuff. but I can see how it could become tiresome for people.

hey wait... does that mean that we can become planting-bros? watering our awesome new plants and buying nice decoration for our gardens together on a nice sunny day.

PLANTS!

I've just finished Streetpass Quest 2 for the first time. Should I reply it and go on the different paths or should I start the secret quest first? Thanks
It doesn't really matter what order you do it in, but you'll have to replay it a couple more times if you want all the hats. And you'll have to do the secret quest about 10 times!

I bought Mii Force because a friend told me its actually a shoot em up and i love them.
I wasn't expecting much but it is quite fun and somehow gives me the konami parodius vibe. Had more fun with Mii Force then with Otomedius.

There are more and more people in my city using Streetpass, that's good!

Is there any news on the hot spots that were announced at E3 (iirc)?

Are any of the new Mii Plaza games worth the price of admission?

I went from having 0 StreetPasses and using my 3DS predominantly at home to coming away from PAX Australia with over 450 hits. I ended up buying all the games while I was in a queue to try the Oculus Rift. I'm like pretty much all of them except for the space shooter.

Now I'm back in Brisbane and getting withdrawal symptoms :(

Are you joking? 10 times!? That's crazy.

I'll start the main quest again then. Thanks

Lol, hes not joking. Be careful too. If you screw up, youll have to finish your current run through and then start all over. Happened to me when I was only paying half attention at a fork in the road.

All those hours of Ikaruga have done nothing to make me good at Streetpass Squad, that shit got tricky fast. Happily I have a full Donkey Kong suit now so it's still £5 well spent.

I wish I'd bought the pack now, got that and the mansion one as I'd heard so many people going on about it on Twitter and it's really good too. They seemed a bit steep at first but considering I play the StreetPass stuff pretty much every day then it all works out to be a good deal. Better than most of the crap I've bought on Virtual Console anyhow.

I've had my 3ds for about a week now. Ride the bus to work every day and home from maybe twice?

I work in a huge hospital although obviously my 3ds sits at my desk, I don't carry it around the hospital with me.

No streetpasses yet. :(

These new games are actually compelling me to actively seek out StreetPasses by inventing excuses to go to the mall, etc. I haven't felt this way since they added Find Mii 2 -- except back then, it was mostly futile anyway, so I wouldn't even bother.

I'll save that. Thanks. I really wish Nintendo would up the coin limit. I need dem hats.

Play coins...you have ration which games you play and maybe do things like use fewer powerups in StreetPass Squad.

People on Gamefaqs say it is easier with fewer squad members, say 3 on one turret only as then it is easier to tell which bullets are ones you fired and which are ones to avoid. I can certainly see the logic...

The 300 coin total limit is fine but that 10 coin daily limit is so bad. Especially when you consider how long it takes to hit 1000 steps (10 minutes).
They should up the limit and then say theyre using it to promote walking or something. Id certainly walk more with mine if it meant I was getting more coins. I did it years ago with the Pokewalker.

I find that beating the stages is easier with more people but, if you are going for a no fatality run, its better to go in with less.

I meant the day limit. I'd be happy if they bumped the requirement to say 300 steps per coin but raised the limit to 30 coins per day. Japan will always be the main consideration when judging this though : (

I've played 4 rounds of Mansion today using cats. So addictive.

Helping me get over the trauma of only passing 3 real people so far this week.

Edit: omg I spent 150 coins on Mansion. And about 60 minutes. At least I got 5 plaza tickets. Shame all the prizes are Kirby-related today.

Arcade mode is dicks. Got to the boss on 5-2 only to have my ass handed to me. By the time I finally beat him, I only had 1 squad member left. And as you would expect, I got killed almost immediately in the final stage.

There goes 30 playcoins down the drain, oh well.

I walk 5000 steps a day... Nintendo pls... :(

I honestly wasn't even aware there was a daily coin limit. I've been going on walks everyday for the past two or three weeks now (about 5000 steps) and never really tried to figure out how coins I was netting each night, just happy to see that little boost to my total.

I make it a point to never spend more play coins than I earn (or expect to earn) in a given day. So I have a hard cap of using 10 coins per day. >.<

Apparently I streetpassed someone the other day who had all of the new puzzles completed, pinks and all. I was in awe yet also kind of depressed that none of the new puzzles/games were available when I was at AX.

Hopefully the next couple of cons I go to can alleviate the need to use my coins for pieces/players for all of the new stuff.

On average, I pass about 1-2 people on my way to work in San Francisco; I'll hit more if I walk over to the touristy areas.

What happens when you reach 300?

I'm on 229 but I am not booting the plaza for a queue of 2. If I'm lucky it'll reach 4 by the time I get much nearer to 300.

Then again I don't really hit rock bottom either as in my worst binge of Mansion I got the coin count down to 2-digit numbers.

At 300, you just stop earning them. The counter just doesnt go up anymore.

I understand the cap is there so that we streetpass with people and dont simply buy cats and dogs to get through the games but in low populated areas, non gaming areas, or just the US in general, it can be a huge pain to do.
My best streetpass days come from events like NYCC and Videogames Live. Any other day, Im lucky if I get 2-3 hits...and the only reason I do is because my brother and sister carry theirs around.

I just discovered (by accident lol) in Mansion if you use the same type of gun as the one you want to upgrade it +1's it and increases it's cap!!

Happy because my gun was max level and I was like aww man, now he's back! :D

Only goes up to +2 though. Also there are other stats on guns (
such as their charge and recharge rate; hit the right > on the weapon in inventory
...an investigator gave it me as a hint).

Should have been clearer, I was asking Zeer0id how he handles that. Then again if an average Zeer0id day is earning 7.5 coins but spending 7 of them that is potentially a year away.

Belfast seems to be dead for street passes these days now that all the schools are out and people are away on holidays
used to get 3 or 4 a day now im down to 1 a day if im lucky.... profound sadness :(

I stopped by a Starbucks the other day, one of the so called Nintendo Zones. Got nothing :/ Guess it doesn't work like running into another 3DS user.

+2 is the max for weapons in Mansion? Boo.

I still have 5 levels left with my current flamethrower. Hopefully I'll find something to transition to as I climb the floors.

SP used to be quick.. now it's like a whole ordeal playing all the games and shit lol
Seriously. I've decided to just skip the flower game for now. I'll get to it eventually, lol. I'd start skipping the puzzle game, too, but it only takes a few seconds.

I thought about doing one game at a time, clearing the tickets from each one, and then moving to the next. But then I remembered how impatient I am.

I'm almost perpetually at 300, lol.

If I don't have 300 coins at the end of every day, then I've messed up. :(

Spent the day at the national mall on vacation in Washington D.C. today. Got 16 unique Street Passes (one from Tokyo). Record for me.

We're going to the Zelda symphony in Baltimore on Saturday, hopefully that should be pretty good for hits?
