What's this like?
I might just Steam it
I'd love to get a new Chinatown Wars, at least 2D cel-shading and iso perspective.

Ew. That was good by DS standards, but Vita deserves so much more. Something more along the lines of the Stories games but made for the Vita hardware is so much more appealing.
DS standards graphically or the standards of being a massively successful console?
We're not graphics whores right guys?
my favorite Vita game this year has PSone textures, so I don't care much about graphics, but Chinatown Wars was a horrible boring game.

Your favourite game being a grindy monster hunter clone?

Or the standard of a game that bombed everywhere?
Sorry but there's no coming back from 3d, 2d gta are just too limited and imo they are totally not suited for 16/9(when drive fast up or down you see absolutely nothing).

So now we're at a point where if we got a GTA game we'd complain if it was 2D?

DS standards in terms of what the DS is capable of not just graphically, but also in terms of gameplay and scope for this sort of game. The DS simply wasn't capable of a proper 3D GTA with all the awesomeness that comes with that. PSP was and the Vita is. Chinatown Wars is as good as you could expect a GTA game to be on such an underpowered system, but it's a fact that other systems are capable of so much more with this type of game. Vita is capable of a proper 3D GTA. It's better to have one of those.
it's way less grindy than the other in the genre as you can beat the story on low level if you have the right spells(if you want to do other thing well it's what you asked for), it's repetitive yes but not a grind fest and not really MonHun clone like RO, it do many things beyond that tired formula and have fantastic story and combat system that MonHun can only dream of.
So now we're at a point where if we got a GTA game we'd complain if it was 2D?
Chinatown was is on PSP no?
Considering how much better the 3D GTA games are, yeah. I'd be ok with a cheap digital only game like that though. But as for a big retail GTA, we need a proper 3D one.
But it was the best GTA on PSP...Which was just a DS port, and yes it was the least fun GTA on the PSP.
We'll be lucky to get ANY GTA games
Chinatown was is on PSP no?
I was just jesting you - I'd like a 3D GTA, but if it was 2D I wouldn't complain.
So now we're at a point where if we got a GTA game we'd complain if it was 2D?
I think everyone was always at that point. Chinatown wars came out on the DS and bombed hard because no one wants a 2D gta game. In fact if the GTA game Vita gets is a 2D game it'll be the last nail in Vita's coffin.
DS, PSP and iOS.
I want Saints Row (there was a handheld project that got canned).
Absolutely yes.So now we're at a point where if we got a GTA game we'd complain if it was 2D?
I remember when SR was announced for 3DS I shit bricks. Was so hyped. That was back before SR3 ruined the series of course. Wouldn't be complaining if a SR game made it to Vita though.
Real Boxing on PS Vita Enters the Ring August 27th for $9.99
As the name suggests, Real Boxing is a boxing simulation game where you’ll create a boxer and take him on a journey from amateur to pro. There are also a multitude of other modes and features including multiplayer so you can touch gloves remotely with friends. There will also be regular tournaments based on leaderboard rankings, so there’s always a new challenge ahead. Boxing games seem to be rather few and far between, so we’re really proud to be bringing the first console styled boxing simulation to PS Vita – the sport is the purest form of one-on-one combat, making this a highly strategic type of game.
Absolutely yes.
Chinatown wars was good only for the limited hardware of the ds, and even the ds owners didn't want it.
Like it or not 2d gtas are just too dated gameplay-wise, people want the "real deal".
The gameplay and mission design in Chinatown Wars is fun, something I can't say about the PSP entries. The writing is also on a whole other league, it's witty and funny in Chinatown while it's creepy and immature on the PSP games.
Already confirmed for the Vita, just a bit later than the PS3 version.I really hope Cloudberry Kingdom comes to the Vita. darn
I'm not even a fan of boxing but for some reason i want it lol.

And the drug trading was awesome.
"our" who? :OThat's made by one of our Polish devs![]()
I see, mission design, writing and minigames.
All things that are not possible in a 3d gta right?
I loved the gta stories games while i left chinatown wars after a pair of missions... I guess i'm not the only one.
my favorite Vita game this year has PSone textures
Are you talking about Soul Sacrifice? This game kicks serious asses in terms of gameplay... shame the customization of the character is really limited. SS is still a great game though. 8.5 on 10 in my book... Go Keiji? Soul Sacrifice 2 plz... XD
The point is that the reasons why you love chinatown wars are not tied to it being 2d. If chinatown wars was 3d with those elements you would have loved it(even more probably).Well considering all of those things are "possible" but not as good on handheld 3D GTAs then I fail to see what your point is?
Also GTA 4 is a 3D GTA that I didn't finish - the city, while a staggering achievement, was the only thing that will stay with me from that game.
A good game is a good game, regardless of how many dimensions it's represented in.
:O

Chinatown Wars was shit hot. I triple-dipped (DS, PSP, iOS) and I'd buy a qHD Vita remake in a heartbeat. Being 2D was a significant part of the appeal.Absolutely yes.

My man - having great taste in everything must be an English trait. Not like these heathens.
