I'm in.
Going to download now. I'm very particular about my TD games but I'll give it a go.

Isn't there already a TD game-series on iOS and Android called Sentinel?
Hope there is no problem with copyrights etc.
Thanks!

Yeah Sentinel 1, 2 and 3.
3 is actually on greenlight too and is excellent (I recommend a vote).

But I don't see a big deal with the name conflict. It is pretty generic to begin with.
That is a bit annoying, but I doubt that a random TD game on iOS copyrighted their name.
Yeah you wouldn't think so.
Mind you these are the guys working with Chris Sawyer on the Transport Tycoon port. He has been around the tracks once or twice with this sort of thing.
But there's already a Sentinel Tower Defense game, and it's better.

Oh and all you guys receiving the game, remember to also give the game a thumbs up on Greenlight if you like it and if you want the Steam keys.
I've written up a bit of a mini-review/shout out for my blog but here are some thoughts:
I've played for just under two hours, so certainly got my money's worth. In short, I think it is a high quality title. The interface, whilst at first confusing, makes sense after only one terrible first attempt. The constant juggling of power, tower types, enemy spawn points and light collecting is certainly frantic and keeps you on your toes for the whole wave.
On the other hand, this is why it isn't going to be for me. For tower defense games, I'm very much from the "set things up and see how you do with trial and error" school. It isn't a fault of the game, just a stylistic choice. I could really see fans of the constant fiddling get into it and produce some pretty amazing WTF? type videos on youtube as they zone in and perfect it.
Still, for the $1? It is an easy pickup. As mentioned the presentation is great and the OST seems to be really good. Granted I don't know enough about the music style to say much either way but it fits perfectly with the art-style and pace of the game.
So I think whilst it is probably not for everybody long term, it is more than good enough for everybody to give it a really good try.
Looks neat, I might grab it when I get home. Good music is always a huge plus in my book.
gah. This sucks. I thought I had until the end of today to get the Soulcaster IndieGameStand deal, really wanted that bonus content copy of Escape Goat. I wish they would drop the price on their regular deal where you can get the previous/current/future deals for $10. At the least, let me buy the previous deal alone at double or even triple the average price. IndieGameStand is fantastic otherwise.
I have yet to play it myself personally, but I heard nothing but decent comments about it from everyone I knew who bought it on the XBLIG Marketplace. It looked like a Gauntlet tower defense game with RPG elements, which absolutely appealed to my sensibilities. Plus it included Escape Goat.Well I think the 90 hours, or whatever it is, time period is rather decent, but yeah sucks that you missed a deal you wanted. OT, but Soulcaster II is a good game?

Picked Sentinel (with soundtrack), downloading. The demo intrigued me but was night unplayable due to it being on a small window, non-stretched.
Thanks to Toma, I've been able to play Sentinel for somewhat more than an hour now.
My impression of Sentinel is that it's by far worth its money. It's a TD-game with a twist. Just like almost every other game in its genre, you'll have to place your defenses next to the road that leads to your stronghold, castle or in this case your system.
An extra degree of difficulty is added by letting the player himself juggle with the power supply of these defenses. The more powerbars these individual defense systems have, the more powerful they are. Keep an eye on the other roads though, as I tended to suffer from an extreme case of tunnelvision. The lack of overview immediately hurt me a wave later, as I also forgot to collect the resources that randomly flew on the field.
Music is a big thing in Sentinel and makes the game a must-have for house/trance aficionados. The OST (including 16 songs) on itself is amazing and in combination with the gameplay it creates a great setting that I've yet to see in a similar game.
Thanks again Toma! Get the game here (Pay what you want), and don't forget to Greenlight it here.
Looks like it would be a perfect fit on iOS.
