I'm obsessed over my character long enough, yet you insist on making me suffer with your elaborate creations.

I want to share mine but at the same time I don't want my perfection being stolen. Yes, I've got issues, didn't even want to share it with my coop partner.

Average Framerate:71.975

Seems like they've been working hard optimizing the game, this is a huge improvement over the previous benchmark. There's no even point now on turning off AO.

Did anyone happen to run the benchmark on a system with a GTX 460 1GB installed?
Beta ran more than fine on above average settings but I don't feel like downloading the benchmark on my slow internet connection.
I'm just looking for rough ballpark numbers.

Score: 8317

my score seems too high.

I am using 660ti, and the first benchmark I got 6454 points, and now with new one I got this score. Both 1920X1080 Maximum setting. I did update my driver since the first benchmark, but not the latest one.

Your score is just fine, we got almost the same and we have basically the same system, download the new beta drivers, they are from two days ago, it should give you an extra boost to your score.

I got 8371 at a higher res, so the drivers should have given me that boost.

Dat mining brought up some interesting stuff, including images about minions, LC/FC Crests, as well as icons from fishing and Arcanist skills. It's far too much to post everything here, so check it out yourself.

Also, crosspost from the benchmark thread

I'm quite pleased with the new results. Will probably stick with 1080p unless I somehow manage to maintain 60fps ingame.

Well cripes, trying to use the character creation over remote doesn't work very well. Guess I'll have to wait till I get home. Poo. :(

I don't trust this benchmark anymore though. Every beta I tried the game ran pretty bad framerate wise, especially in towns it was just horrible.
This character creation benchmark is built using the release version of the client, not the same version of the client from the previous beta phase.

I'm guessing windowed vs fullscreen effects performance somewhat.
Indeed it does.

I recall buying this on gmg a month or 2 ago. phase 4 is OB right (with no wipes)... and i assume early access is after that?

fuuuck, got xillia, mario luigi 3, and a few other things... might have to hold off on this for a bit :(

the 30 days you get from buying the game doesn't 'activate' until you start playing right?

Taking so long to download, does this one have SLI support?

It absolutely does. I have SLI and if it is disabled my score is significantly lower.

Gave female highlander a go, think I'll probably roll with that for release

I had read that people were getting a boost in performance with the latest beta drivers from NVIDIA (326.41) but my best results were with the latest WHQL drivers.

FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Official Benchmark (Character Creation)
Tested on:8/1/2013 7:12:53 AM
Score:7728
Average Framerate:80.849
Performance:Extremely High
-Easily capable of running the game on the highest settings.

Screen Size: 2560x1600
Screen Mode: Full Screen
Graphics Presets: High (Desktop)

System:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
8086.379MB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti (VRAM 4047 MB) 9.18.0013.2049

If it does then the performance gain is almost inexistant, for me at least. :/ ( tried with SLI on then off and the bench went from ~70 fps to ~66 fps on average )

It has to... the person with a 690 a few posts up broke 15,000. If SLI wasn't working, their score would be lower than a 680.

Lol at the Garlean generals all having gun stuff. Gun Shields lol.

They all look so cool and I always love a good Rocket/Gun Hammer.

Was neat that your created character gets added to the scenes of the benchmark, nice touch.

Got a 9400 on everything on High, turned down shadows slightly and somehow the score went down to 9200, so that was odd.

Well it did make me go from average 66fps to 70fps and the score went from 7747 ( SLI off ) to 8126 (SLI on ) with my 570 SLI.

So idk, but for me, the improvement is really quite minimal compared to what activating my SLI bring to most other game. ( but I know that mmo are very cpu dependent )

edit : downloading 326.414 beta to see if it improve my result ( driver version 326.19 atm ).

Is the character creator always set on max stats? It makes my PC melt. :\

(The second picture doesn't show it, but it easily reaches 100°+ when in the character creation main menu. Right now I'm trying with lowest configs possible)

Any tips? I'm pretty sure It isn't dust, I cleaned it recently.

These were posted a few pages back but I think a lot of people might've missed the link and you need to install a theme to get the wallpapers themselves. So here;
The downloadable themepack is just a fancy rar/zip package. You can open it with something like 7-zip and pull out the wallpapers without installing it.

Wait whuuuut?
Short explanation. A 32-bit application, which the vast majority of games are, can only reference memory addresses that can be contained within 32-bits (32 1's and 0's). This caps out at roughly 4GB of memory. The application, literally, can't express a number large enough to point to memory higher than that. This holds true of operating systems too (so if you're running a 32-bit operating systems your extra RAM is REALLY doing nothing).

Soooo what I thought was my SLI 560 ti's, this benchmark ran at about 69XX give or take. Then someone mentioned that they looked at their SLI and it was not on. So I checked mine and it was not on. The Benchmark took an amazing jump in score.

That is without shadows.

That is at max. My 2 year old machine rocked it. SLI made a huge difference.

I know what a 32 bit application is ;)

I was just suprised it was 32 bit, could have known though.

Does was my fault, 326.41 beta driver make the difference, I now get 15k score and average 150 fps... seems like I might even be able to downsample ffxiv ( until the dx11 client is released at least ).

Hmm, I don't know then. The current phase 3 client won't work anymore. But it's not like people are receiving emails with new codes or something at the moment.
Funny you say that. I got code emailed Monday and they said they would send a PS3 code closer to the testing phase...

Damn, this needs to come out already.

Oh and benchies!

Wow, that is so much higher than the other scores. Out of curiosity, what is your CPU clocked at (I assume it's overclocked)?

So I can import my 1.0 character into this, edit him, save him, and all will be set for the open beta? Thats awesome. That shaves off a good chunk of time.
