since its reveal at e3, this period has been the slowest newsless part, and it feels weird! safe to say though, the suite hasnt stopped playing since i first saw it here
i was pretty sure the eurogamer expo was going to reveal its first batch of games today, nothing yet though, was hoping to see anything X1/PS4 exclusive to confirm they would be there, especially KI!
I'll have a Sabrewulf mini-guide going up today on Prima's site. I'll link here when it's up.
Also, I only want Eagle because then I'd feel justified as to why we didn't get to see Thunder in the Evo reveal. If it's just Thunder, then I feel the Evo reveal was really lackluster.
Just finished reading your 'Wulf guide. It's almost surreal to have an in-depth character breakdown months before the game actually launches.

Just saw the impressions, Wulf's launcher is actually positive on block, being BF+HK. It leads to potential 20-25% damage after launch, and gives you a chance to do cr.MP into vortex(high/low) or cross under, it's really good.
I think this was the case int he Evo build, but I'll ask the devs tonight.
Thanks for the correction. You mean the launcher from Run right? So, B,F,K,HK? Just want to make sure we're talking about the same thing. Unfortunately, since my only play time is what I can get at events with no extended access, I can only go off of what I see and do. Assuming there's an official guide and I get to write it, I'd have a build and would be able to test everything extensively.
I punished someone for using the launcher at Evo, and saw other people get punished for using it, but it could've just been the person not blocking after. I also asked about Sabre being so unsafe, thinking only Ragged Edge was safe, and the devs actually corrected me saying that only LP Ragged Edge was safe (I had assumed all variations of Ragged Edge were safe). They didn't mention the launcher being safe, let alone advantage on block. Even the devs rarely used it, which is odd since it'd be the only attack Sabrewulf has that's advantage on block.
I mentioned that you can follow up after launchers, but since I don't have a build to play to really test things, I didn't want to put any kind of damage percentage.

I'm pretty shitty at Killer Instinct, but the game is a blast to play...or at least the older ones are. If you're getting an Xbone you may as well download the demo since you can play the entire game with Jago.
I'm definitely going to give it a go. It looks fantastic. I just know I'm gonna get destroyed online.

And yeah, the colors do look different; more saturated, and with less thick shadows. It's probably good for a fighter, but I have to say, I kinda liked the thick shadows, just because it had such contrast.
Either is find with me, and it could just be the quality of the stream or whatever they're using.

Sorry if this has already been covered in the thread, but on the Xbox One MS preorder site, they describe the Day One Xbox Live as such...
"Make the most of Xbox One by adding a Day One
Xbox Live Gold membership, and play Killer Instinct: Round One with the exclusive Shadow Jago character."
So does that mean it includes all of Round One or does it mean that if I buy Round One, I get Shadow Jago? I ask this because I already have a year of Xbox Live, but if this includes Round One, its a no brainer to pick up an extra year on the cheap.

its only a little thing, but itd really like it the character portraits on the health bars during fights, matched the colour/outfit you had chosen
be even cooler if player 1 had a different stance then player 2 (on the Vs screen) rather then a reversed stance
also, a quick question
just watching a fight where its a colour 2 sabrewulf on glacius stage, the colour stream coming from his swipes are light blue rather then green, is this because of the stage or his outfit? i could have sworn they were normally green?

Double Helix has said that the character select and VS screens are just placeholders for the alpha builds. It's likely that this is true for the HUD as well.
From what I can tell, Sabrewulf's swipes have always been blue in the post-E3 builds and it's not dependent on stage or skin. I'm not sure why though; the green looked much better.
If you're not choosing your console based on the games want, you're probably doing it wrong.

I'm not doing anything wrong lol, I'm really not an Xbox guy... and I prefer my fighting games on a playstation pad.
I can't justify the cost for just one game... maybe two or three at a push.
I am not trying to persuade you or something, but those are going to be new controllers, plus there are going to be fighting sticks out there.
And what ps4 exclusives are you excited about? Because I really see nothing that is compelling, especially stacked up with the xb1 launch titles.

I'm useless with fight sticks lol! and I still do not like Xbox's face buttons or D-Pads I'm afraid. It's a shame because this game really does look like a lotta fun. Soundtrack to die for.
