Thank ye :D yea I did get the KZ demo, though I haven't put a ton of time on it. It is dang fun to play tho, no doubt.

The thinking is the PS3 versions is $40 for both, or $20 a piece.
The nightmare thinking is that the Vita versions will be full retail each.
Nothing is known for sure. They'll sell a lot more though if they price it at $20 a piece, for sure.

Yeah, I thought this was weird too... not sure why it's like that. Didn't even know you couldn't use the variants for S-Ranks. I thought in some of the later levels it would make things easier.

So weird. My idea of the game was that you would use different clone types to complete a level, or to get a better time or score or whatever, something other than just a neat way to play the level again, and again, and again, and again, and again. Oh by the way you have to do it for every level. Lol. I like the game but the other character types simply aren't even worth trying to unlock.
 
Totally addicted to Stealth Bastard on PC and I'm tormented each time I see it on PSN. Do I double dip or not? Would be fantastic on Vita...
 
Hi! I am actually alive, just without a phone and/or laptop at the moment. Never fear, i'l be round again soon... hopefully.

I don't get the KZM Beta but I've seen some great things about it. Looking forward to that one.
 
Guys I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I'll be running low on money because the college semester is about to start and I'm paying it from my pocket. So I decided to buy Pokemon Y for my 3DS when it comes out for the semester, but I still don't know which one to choose between Dragon's Crown and Killzone:Mercenary for the Vita. Which one does vitagaf recommend?

Buy DC when it comes out in a few days, play for 100+ hours, and then trade towards KZ:M?

EDIT: If I had to choose, I'd go for DC, just because I think you'll get more playtime out of it. But that's just my opinion.

Well, your problem started with Pokemon. You should've bought DC and Killzone. :P
Hard to say what you'll get more mileage out of. The Killzone Mercenary beta is very fun and if you like Killzone MP, you'd have that in your Vita. Dragon's Crown has good buzz, but there are some knocks on it in the early press as well... they're three very different games... I don't think you can choose poorly.

I go full digital on my Vita, that would had been great. I'm also leaning towards DC since it comes out Tuesday.
 
I can't say anything about AC: Rising Phoenix but Injustice GOTY on VITA won't be surprising to me. Mortal Kombat VITA sold really well. It sold ~250k copies in USA alone. Seeing the sales, i am sure that Injustice will also make it to VITA.

Buy Killzone Mercenary and then buy Dragon's Crown on the PS3 when it's cheap.

Thanks for the input guys. It's been a long time since I'm so low on cash to buy games, thankfully I still have some backlog that I need to finish.

Edit: Wow I totally forgot Dragon's Crown is coming out on ps3 too. I guess Killzone it is. Thanks Courage.

I wonder if it will be like MK Vita in that they will sacrifice the detail in the character models and environments to achieve 60 fps.

60 fps > 30 fps with better graphics. I never minded the low detail models because they were only noticeable in close-ups. The gameplay was excellent and this is all that matters in the end.

I'd rather buy it on Vita and support a developer making a game I like for a platform I'm interested in instead of cheaping out and sending the message "PS3 sells copies and Vita isn't worth the effort."

I'll agree with this in the sense that I want an EU and JP account on my system without having to switch cards so I can buy games from other regions (PSP/PSOne) where they actually work and have them on my Vita. Gimme my Crash Bandicoot and R-Types, SCEA!

In the vein of gamesharing, that is NOT what the Vita needs. On a struggling platform where publishers need to be convinced of the viability of a port or original game on Vita being profitable, having 5 people gameshare it so they sell 1/5 of the copies is not going to help solve the problems everyone bitches about.

This is exactly right. When the game is in motion, it still looks pretty good... and the fact that it maintains the 60fps fighter standard is absolutely brilliant and honestly the most important aspect of the port.

I wasn't talking about game sharing in general but about having two different accounts on same VITA. I would love to have a separate Region 2 account along with PS+. Also we mostly get Region 2 games but i have a Region 1 main account because i prefer US PS Discounts and Sales. So i have to import Region 1 games, which ends up being expensive or i have to go Digital only. Some games come with online pass like Soul Sacrifice and i am sure that the upcoming Killzone will also have Online Pass. I won't be able to redeem the online pass of Region 2 copy and will have to get Digital or import Region 1 copy.

Yeah, I just wasn't sure if you were chiming in with the mention of the gameshare above for DC... wasn't directed at you, exactly, just something I wanted to say while it struck me to say so. :)
But I know exactly what you mean. I wish I could migrate my US account to an EU account -- grass is always greener, right? If I could at least put my EU account on the card, I could just rebuy the Crash games or whatever and it'd be *SOMETHING*...

Yeah, definitely don't need gamesharing to scare off devs at this point but damn multiple accounts would make things easier for people who like to cross-region shop but shame that probably isn't too great for publishers either :P

They could do ONLY different region accounts. Under the pretense of buying games when you take your vita on holiday.

I hope they hurry up and crack this damn system. I have 13 vita games as well as a over 20 PS1 classics but man this system takes forever to get a good game.
 
I finally broke down and bought Super stardust delta with the expansion. It sucks that I'll be playing this on a plane to san fran so my scores won't save. Always online, grumble.
 
I decided I'll be getting a Vita either at the end of the month or the day KZ:M comes out. (If I was lucky enough to get a beta key I would have bought a Vita this week, lol >_<..that's how excited I am!)

From the footage I've seen of it, it looks awesome! The last time I was sucked into a shooter on a handheld was Socom for PSP. KZ:M looks like it'll be great fun.

Other reasons why I decided on a Vita:

Persona 4 Golden
Rayman Legends

I purchased Dragon's Crown on the PS3 but there's a part of me that wouldn't mind picking it up on the Vita as well.

Any chance Skullgirls will get a Vita version? Seems like a good fit since Sony's courting the indies and the Vita's a great system for fighting games (god-tier dpad).

Anyone know what time the psn store updates? Like when do new releases who up on the PSN store... I want to get dragon's crown ASAP
 
Just wanted to say . . . I LOVE MY VITA, with my busy schedule and family (I have a 3 month old baby and a 2 year old) I have barely been able to play on my PC or consoles. Meanwhile on Vita I have been able to get some good gaming in (finish Mutant Blobs and currently playing Persona 4). I have LittleBigPlanet, AC:L, Virtue's Last Reward, MGS 2 & 3, Sound Shapes and a few other waiting for me. I also have a 3DS and an iPad but they don't do it for me like the Vita. I love this system. I hope the PS4 streaming feature works well, and I hope it has a nice healthy life.

I'd recommend Unit 13 if you liked SOCOM, it's one of the Vita's underrated games.
