I too appreciate the effort but he's missing the point by doing solo QL. Without any back and forth jokes and discussion with another dude the format loses 80% of its entertainment value.

I too appreciate the effort but he's missing the point by doing solo QL. Without any back and forth jokes and discussion with another dude the format loses 80% of its entertainment value.
I'd rather have a one person quick look than no quick look at all. It's still valuable as a tool to determine whether or not I'd like a game.
Not for me it isn't. The silence is killer and the backandforth is like 99% of why QL's work.
There are still some of the "good" FMV games they haven't tried like Tex Murphy, 7th Guest or Gabriel Knight 2. What I really want to see Vinny play is Spaceship Warlock - First game I ever saw running off a CD-rom, good luck finding a decent copy and running it on a modern PC though.

To this day I am disapointed they didn't QL Darkstar: The Interactive Movie. Look at it!
Released in 2011 too, and featured the MST3k cast.

eh it works when both don't have much idea either, I think its the back and forth is what is important for me, especially when the game isn't that great or fucking horrible.
Jeff seems to be the one that can make it work by himself (the funky barn stream is a nice example but that wasn't labeled as a ql and the actual ql had brad).

At least you could see the stream! I get nothing when I load the app on my Boxee. It would be a sad day indeed if the app has been left for dead.
Yeah I end up just using the PC I have hooked to my TV instead of Boxee. Sucks.

I bought and played about 2 hours of Darkstar. The FMV stuff is really cool, but the part where it's a Myst- style adventure game is really frustrating. It has some of the most baffling gating I've ever seen in an adventure...and I liked the Myst games.

I thought he did really well with Crypt Worlds, mostly because it kind of had a spookin' with scoops feel to it. That and Jeff would have just spent the whole Quicklook peeing on everyone.

The CryptWold QL really made me interested in the game. I don't know how long I would personally stick to playing it, but I had a great time watching Patrick tackle the game. I hope it becomes a semi-occurring thing.

Wow so i had this dream, it was a good idea to gift brains of a dead person for some reason. Cue me, cutting up someones head (who was alread dead) to get chunks of brains out. That someone was ryan davis. After i was done collecting brains, i kept them somewhere safe in a jar, and saw the corpse move. Oh shit, i thought, he wasnt really dead! Ryan davis gets up all pissed like yo what the hell did you do man, and i ran, and ryan ran after me. I ran into my girlfriend and told her what had happened to which she responded well duh, that was pretty dumb of you, and she went away. I locked myself in my house and peeked through the window and saw ryan coming up to the window. I asked him how bad it was, and he showed me a tiny cut in his neck. We both looked at each other and thought hey thats not so bad actually and i opened the door and we went on with our lives

I like how they are changing around the quick look formula a bit.
First three man QL - which really helps for the more boring games - and now with Dragon's Crown they have brought in a ringer from gamespot (Peter Brown?) because they admit that nobody on GB has really played much of it and Brad doesn't really care for it. Much preferable to them just fumbling through the beginning of the game and being all down on it. Hope they do it again in the future.

People are offended by everything. I mean some people act offended on your choice of cell phone you have.
People have the right to be offended. Doesn't mean you necessarily have to change something just because they are.
With DC I can see why some would be offended. It is a bit much for me. I also think if they had toned it down a little then people would be talking about how great the art style it rather than if it is offensive or not. Bad business.
