Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

We haven't really seen anything new in terms of mechanics or features. I'm a big Smash fan, but I'm more hyped for Mario Kart 8 ATM.
Yeah, that's possible. I haven't felt the newness in the reveal. Plus the new characters are not what I would call the most wanted and the possibility that they will cut a huge number of brawl fighters and not much new characters.

And it is possible that I'm not hyped because as of right.now I don't know if I'll be able to pick both versions as I still don't know if I will buy the WiiU at some point :/

Sure, I can't add my typical BG + transparecy tho; I'm on my shitty vacation laptop that doesn't have proper art programs aside from paint.
Don't worry, it's fine as it is right now. Thank you so much! You did a great job.

I'll change it tonight when I get home. :)

Edit: Sorry, double post

I'm feeling no hype for this because of how samey it's going to inevitably end up being.

That and the fact that different versions are going to mean different features and that's just a bit shite.

IMO, it's just tough to be fully hyped for a game that is so far away. It's going to be similar to a point but the characters, gameplay tweeks, and features are going to be what separates this game. I hold the characters above everything else.

New character, new sprite.

It's beautiful

1stly the only characters that might be cut from brawl's roster is ike and lucario, majority will most likely stay and the one most questionable to be returning was just confirmed 3 weeks ago
2ndly megaman wasent most wanted? And villager was one of the most highly requested charcters for brawl before sakurai shot that idea down, and now he's more desired than ever
And 3rdly sakurai stated that the 2 versions might not come out at the same tme and if they do the wiiU version will come out 1st, so get a wiiU

I don't want to have two versions of one game that split up the content. It feels so cash grabby and I don't like it at all.

They don't though. Same number of characters, and we've seen a healthy number of different stages on both versions.

If we get as many stages as we did in Brawl in the Wii U version, what's the issue?

Villager and Mega Man were honestly my two most wanted newcomers prior to E3. (Balloon Fighter was my number three, but that's clearly not happening now.) I'd like as many characters as possible for obvious reasons, but with Animal Crossing finally represented the roster already feels complete to me.

They can't do too much to it since you land on it and fight from time to time. Chances are you won't be looking much at the backdrop when you're fighting anyway.

Or just put a few spectators at the landing points. I hated that about Delfino. Just stick some people at the places where you fight. It's not that hard. Makes it feel more alive I think, just like Smashville.

Guys, I don't know why I'm not hyped about this game. I'm a huge Smash fan, it is actually my favorite franchise. I have a 3DS ready to receive this new entry but still don't feel the hype.

I think the initial reveal trailer and even character line up were much less exciting than in previous games. It doesn't help that they want to sparse announcements, so we only get negative confirmations (no story mode, some characters might be cut, etc) rather than actually knowing what's going to be in the game.

Nintendo has completely forgotten what hype even is and why a company might be interested in generating it. Baffles me why Nintendo isn't leveraging this game's appeal more.

'we barely have info on either'

Yet you just replied to my post with a no. That just doesn't make sense.

(also, upset. lol)

If what I said is a moot point because we don't have info, so is your initial complaint.

Upset, mad, raeg all mean the same thing on the internet bro.

Sorry for having a grasp of the English language. You're obviously not worth talking to about this though, so let's just leave it there.

Likely because it's still far off . When it gets closer, I can see them doing more.

They're probably going to try and avoid a situation akin to what happened with the "Smash Dojo" at all costs. There, the hype train reached critical mass and it didn't help at all when the game got delayed...

Well, at least I hope he knows what he's doing.
Shots like these can translate into people thinking Sakurai and the rest aren't taking care of the models as in.. blatantly clipping or unpolished animations.

Man, I wish my hype for this would die down. Being hyped for a game when we have barely any info makes the wait so hard.

Atleast it isn't as bad as Brawl after the reveal trailer. I like the daily screenshots.

I like to think he's going a bit in the right direction if, as a game developer, he's able to find the hilarity in certain inconsequential clipping stuff. Although I still think he should work a tad more on that Link model/animation because every picture he's in is cliptown.

I guess it doesn't matter all that much since everything will be rather fast-paced and I'll be focusing more on the fighting than certain frames of Link's animation.

My hype's dying. It is early days then again.

Next trailer will reignite the hype. I actually broke my Wii three weeks ago trying to fix the lens to play Brawl.

Sad days. XD
