It's a known issue. They are moving from Amazon hosting to Akamai and then it should all be fixed.

Not sure of the exact reason but he has made it clear that it is by choice. Might have to do with his mother having extra room in the house since his dad passed.

i hope not. he seems to have a lot of time on his hands, and throwing out random streams to make content for games that look interesting seems to be super easy (always wondered why the gb team didnt just do this whenever)

Since the recent switch from Akamai's laughable VOD infrastructure, to their large file CDN, everything's been great.

I can even use the Streaming function, with the video switching to HD in about 3-5 seconds (prior to the change, it would stay at the lowest bitrate regardless of my 120Mb line).

I believe he's there while he's finding a more permanent place and I'm guessing also to help out his Mom, who is likely still dealing with the death of his father.

I suspect he wanted to return to the area so he could be nearby.

Maybe. He also said he wanted to live in Chicago proper for a few years before moving out to the suburbs so it could just be looking for the right place to rent. I imagine city prices are sky high for buyers. It is useful if you can stay somewhere between rentals rather than having to rush to find a new place when the old lease is nearly up, especially when moving a large distance.

theres one control scheme where you use a wiimote and nunchaku to control the game, and the gamepad screen is your map, with the gameplay on the tv.

You can, and the most recent 8-4 Play podcast was very emphatic that the wiimote/nunchuck combo was far superior for playing Pikmin 3.
