Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | August 2013 | Divekicks & Dragons

No please no one should waste his money on one of the most overrated game i have ever played.
Do really some line of text cover how mediocre the game really is? It's really short, easy, annoying and repetitive, the only good segments are some with the green square and even them are not that good.
A very mediocre game with blatantly "artistic" coat of paint.

I don't agree - i've dozens of shitty artistic critically aclaimed indie platformers on pc bough at 1$ per 5 in bundles and none of them made me spend few hours playing them.
Actual most of them were turned off in less than 5 minutes.

Top of page - so buy Valkyria Chronicles 2 from todays sale in EU.

If you're in a PSM country you should give Shuttle Quest a download. You can play the first mission for free and it's actually pretty good.

Also, hi!

Got a little taste of Dragon's Crown last nite. Didn't get to complete the first mission.

The game looks PHENOMENAL on Vita's OLED. I mean this in every sense of the word, no usual GAF hyperbole here.

Colors have intense warmth and saturation, The clarity in the lines is visible. The backgrounds and forground scenes have a nice sense of depth. The artstyle really shines well on the screen. I started as a Dwarf. Can't wait to play more later during my lunch.

I think Im gonna be stuck playing this and Soul Sacrifice for right now. My PSP games will get shoved in the closet. Top tier handheld gaming here folks. Vita hasn't let me down since Day One.

Pretty freakin awesome firmware update we just got. So random too!!!

yeahh baby! can't wait to get out of work and play more DC.

Is it possible to share the digital version of Dragon's Crown? I'd like to split it with my friend, if possible. Would I just buy it, then use the transfer tool on the PS3 to put it on his Vita?

new releases this week in Europe:

Floating Cloud God Saves The Pilgrims In HD!: 3,59€
Deathmatch Village: free
Breakquest Extra Evolution: free
Die!Die!Die!: 5,99€

+ some DLC including a free one for Soul Sacrifice

I just bought the Super House of Dead Ninjas DLC on Steam and gifted a copy of the game to a buddy, all with the intent of convincing the dev to bring it to Vita....that's how this works right? ;)

You got that right! The game will look swell on the Vita OLED! Are you gonna tweet them or something?

Make sure to ask Adult Swim Games about it as it's ultimately their decision. We'd love to see it come out on Vita, though!

Well, you'll have to connect with your PSN account on its Vita, but yes it's possible.

I don't believe it's possible unless they use your account specifically on their Vita.

Edit: Floating Cloud God HD is up on the Aussie (and probably EU) store now. PixelJunk Monsters: Ultimate HD is also now up on the Australian store.

It's only got a release window, but the Australian date was apparently confirmed for October 17th and Zavvi listed the date as October 13th for Europe, so it seems like October is likely. There is a brilliant iOS remake/remaster in 16:9 that even adds Knuckles and Tails as playable characters. I wish it would get a Vita release but it probably wont :(

Oh damn. Still I got enough to keep me going. Wife pre-ordered my PS4 today and I have missed the first batch window now. So unless some people cancel or what ever I prob wont get it till after xmas. So hopefully DC and killzone will keep me busy until then and Soul Sac will tidy me over till those 2.

Holy crap the cross-save feature in DC is amazing. I wish Monster Hunter did it that smart.

You upload your save to their server and download it on any machine. You can then copy that save to any of your 3 save files. It's a very quick process.

So still no spelunky this week then. Ho Hum.

whats the soul sacrifice DLC? still got tons of stuff to do on that games desipite doing all the main story bar kill mag. More free DLC is always welcome.

Yay got my sixth Vita Platinum from Velocity Ultra :3 (would have 7 if it wasn't for the damn HC Risette Fan >_<)

Next up I'll start either Lumines, Unit 13 or Ninja Gaiden. Dat PS+ <3. Tho NG plat would prolly be hard as balls so might just do a normal playtrough.

That's the definition of meh DLC for me.

Instead of throwing more bosses like that they shoud put 1 or 2 more companion sorcerers with stories and some new monsters.
Or a new side story chapter

Seeing as its free I am more than happy with it.

They could easily sell DLC for like £5 that had 3 new monsters within 3 new companion quests I think though.

(1) It's free.
(2) It's quality.
(3) At some point, they gave out a brand new companion quest for free as well.

Just as a FYI, the only DLC available right now for Dragon's Crown is a narrator voice pack unlock, all of which can be unlocked by playing through the game normally if the official site is anything to go by.

The DLC comment was for Muramasa Rebirth, because there isn't a date for Europe.
For Dragon´s Crown I will wait for the European release. I have patience and a lot of games to play... ^_^

What are the chances that Demon's Souls and Dark Souls will get ported to the Vita? at least Sony can make the former happen.

0 chance? At the very most a 2D metroidvania Souls like game - which now I mention it sounds pretty cool.

sounds like Ghost Song

Is the Vita version of Dragon’s Crown the exact same as the PS3 version?

yeah from what i know - the vita version makes use of the touch screen to pick up loot etc. where as the ps3 version has a clunky cursor. the PS3 version of course has more screen space and a TINY TINY bit more stable framerate.

i think the vita ver is the definitive one, unless you're concerned with the art being clustered on a tiny screen.

Gamescom rumors were flying around about - something. Nothing concrete though, just that main staff involved in the series were not primarily involved in work on Dark Souls 2.

- Theres slowdown when it gets chaotic

+ The touch screen allows for better controls when selecting things on screen (ps3 gets a little cursor that you move around that isn't as natural)

the vita gets the same cursor, but you can elect to use the touch screen. the click by touch is nice but i don't prefer all the fingerprints

How's the Vita version of Sly: Thieves in Time?
Seriously tempted by the EU £10 cross play sale but I'll be spending 90% of my time playing it on Vita
