No one is talking about the exclusivity of these games. The poster was making a comparison between the games locked behind the PS+/Live paywalls. I was pointing out that those F2P games can be played on the PS4 without having to pay for PS+.

This has nothing to do with being an exclusive or not, it wasn't the point of my post.

VR stuff comes off as dated shit and "virtually" makes me think of it. Guessing that's why they dropped it. "Cloud" is a popular buzz word for the times. It sounds better than "Azure servers" I guess.

Pray tell junior, where does this faith come from? MS themselves confirmed - on black and white - that the headset would not be included in the retail packaging. Today was a good day nonetheless.

The original post says the at the console in video is one of the first production units and that their is less then 20. I dont know abut everyone else but I think that seems low if its a Nov launch.

It seems like, from the video, that MS always intentioned that they were going to include a headset.

If Microsoft would say on the E3 stage that there would be no headset in the box, you'd still find a headset in the box. It's one of those common sense things, regardless of what MS sais.

I know right, we should have just not listening to Microsoft. Considering they have reversed every single thing they said at E3 it makes perfect sense.

the best part of this thread is people are so delirious they say things like who cares is Microsoft says there is no headset of course there is gonna be a headset its common sense.

Given their precedent for backpedaling, you're absolutely right.

Japan confirmed for Tier 1 Xbox country and most critical market for MS where they will spend all their effort.

I am far from a expert on the subject but that seems like a small window to produce hundreds of thousands of consoles and then shipping them over seas. Again I dont know what the logistics and supply chains are like but 5 weeks seems crazy unless the demand isnt as high as i thought it was.
 
Noise canceling kinect looked to be much improved bit hearing chat over surround sound is not a great experience. I'm glad they did this. Also happy mute and volume buttons are practically on the controller. I think the power brick is necessary to power both the system and kinect. Happy that unlike the 360 with kimect I don't need two power adapters.

It is, but its how its done. Iphones dont usually kick into high gear until about 2 months before release.

not saying they will nor do i think they would unbundle kinect. just saying that all these little value added things they've announced in the last few weeks mean that a price cut would look even more less likely than it already is.

it would be the final piece of the 180 puzzle though. nothing going to surprise me at this point

This sort of self-fulfilling prophetic thinking will allow you to assign any positive they do, as a negative. What's MS's dark plan? To make money? Guess which company has that philosophy?

Its still one power supply and since the kinect plugs into the the console it could be done without a brick.

I agree I was not a fan using using Kinect for voice chat in games.

You only needed 2 power outlets if you used the kinect on a non slim 360. The slim had a proprietary connection for it..I believe, I only got rid of my 360 3 months ago and I already forget lol
 
Another good reversal. But it's simply amazing how many things they got wrong to begin with. And what's with the taking out features with their new consoles? The 360 stepped backwards by launching with an HDD-less SKU. Now the Xbone would have stepped back without a headset if Sony weren't completely bashing MS' heads in pre-launch. It's a rhetorical question. People obviously know it's just Microsoft providing "choice" to spend more money. Sony's completely ruining Microsoft's plans to nickel-and-dime as much as they can.

Another question this brings up. Only 20 of these "final" boxes exist? Well if they can insert a headset this soon before launch, why can't they insert the Day One patch on a disc? Isn't logistics of inserting a disc in all the already-produced boxes the reason apologists said it couldn't be done? What's the excuse now?

In the big picture, even though its amusing for us informed gamers to see Microsoft doing their best Michael Jackson impersonations with all the spinning and Moonwalking, the vast majority of customers won't even know just how fucked up the Xbone originally was. All that will matter is the final product that hits store shelves.

Logical thinking wouldn't even doubt the inclusion of a headset. It's one of the reasons Xbox Live is where it is today.
 
This is incredible news!

Personally, I enjoy knowing that Microsoft is actually listening to feedback (which has been resoundingly negative, but slowly shifting).

true but they all have different levels of greed and some place the priorities of making money and caring about the customers closer together then others. Its like this in all industries. As a example, some will cut corners and illegally dispose of waste for a higher profit margin and others simply wont go that route b/c its against the head honchos individual principles.
Some choose to care less about the environment and some chose to care less about people
