You can still have a decent time with those games, BUT - and this is a big "but" - the part where the graphics look like a late-in-the-game PS2 game, the AI is still woeful, and each release is filled with bug upon bug means those games deserve to be demeaned constantly until shit starts to change.

Plus I don't think anyone really thinks much of them compared to the N64/PS1 heyday, so yeah.

they are ugly and very buggy

for example, AI characters only ever kick out at a 1-count, or stay down for the 3-count. Never a 2-count.

I don't know how much wrestling you watch, but 2-counts happen a lot.

After making it though that 1 hour Dynasty Warriors QL - I am glad they have started doing 3 man looks. It could have used it. Even Vinny stopped making jokes near the end and started dropping hints about stopping it.

Ah, bizarre. I haven't heavily played a wrestling game since the N64 days but the recent WWE games, especially 13 as mentioned, got decent to great reviews so I figured they were generally considered fun games. Hopefully next-gen turns things around I suppose! Surprised about the general bugginess, although what you mentioned sounds more like a mechanical flaw rather than a bug if it always happens.

What makes them such a regression from the N64 titles? As I said I haven't played one since the WWFs of that era so I'm rather shocked there's been such an apparent regression.
