No I meant how would Todd become next Heisenberg
Once thing I noticed about Skylar, and which the show has highlighted several times, is that she is a damn good liar and she is getting better at it as she goes along. She even surprised Walt with the level of deception she has. Remember, she came up with the gambling lie. With the car wash lie. She came up with the lie to get Ted there. She's an extremely effective liar.
I actually think she'd hold up under pressure from Hank quite well, if she wanted to
the question is: will she want to? Will she finally see Hank's revelation as an opportunity to break free of this life and put Walt behind bars where he deserves?
Haha, why would he give it to Lydia? Who is Lydia gonna kill?
Speaking of... this new drug kingpin which Walt sold the blue meth to, do we think he will play a major role in the final eight episodes? He seemed kiiiinda badass. Like, he is what Walt wishes he was.
The sheer shock of Hank knowing would quickly disarm her, I think. The gambling story, the car wash, the pool stunt...Like Walt's, Skyler's lies become glaring in hindsight. The only option is to come clean. There's no way she goes down with this ship willingly. Any residual loyalty she feels towards Walt fades at the thought of her kids going forward in life with both parents in prison.
Hank getting Skyler on his side paramount. She's a honeypot of information, close to Walt, and shielding her from any blowback considerably lessens the collateral damage to the family. The White-Schrader clan is tight; family will certainly factor somewhere into Hank's gameplan.
I definitely think you're right, she will take this door if opened for her.
And I think that may be what leads Walt to kill Skylar. I think he will find out she is working with Hank, that she has been feeding information to him about Walt, she is going to say something that pretty much cuts off his balls - the worst sin to Walt - and Walt is going to snap and kill her.
Sadly enough what you say here not only seems plausible, I wouldn't be surprised if people still defended Walt or even claimed that Skyler deserved it. It'd be interesting to see the reaction to such an event.

Yup. Nothing shuts up a narc wife like a little ricin over breakfast.
PS: Skyler kills Jesse. Then she kills junkyard guy. Then she fucks Marie. Then she kills Lydia. Then she kills Gomez while fucking him. Then she kills Walt, brings him back to life, then kills him again.
Will if Walt snaps then he'll kill her instantaneously like with Mike.
Will if Walt snaps then he'll kill her instantaneously like with Mike.
I just can't see Walt intentionally killing Skyler.
He's gone to such great lengths to be with her, provide for her, do everything. I mean, if there's one constant about Walt it is his utter devotion to his family (even if misguided), specifically Skyler and the kids. I just can't see him doing it intentionally.
Now, an accidental ricin poisoning I can see. But Walt just outright killing her seems like something the character wouldn't do and would leave me disappointed. Even if she decided to go to the police I don't see him killing her. It just doesn't jive with his character.
Yeah everyone knows Huell is the rightful heir to Walt's throne. No I meant how would Todd become next Heisenberg
Why we he kill her when he allowed her to rat him out. Yeah, he didn't think she'd do it, but there's was always a chance.
I will be very, very disappointed if Skyler dies directly by Walt's hands. I just don't see how that fits in with his character. Even in a fit of rage it doesn't make sense.
Walt has no devotion to his family. None. He has constantly, over and over, put his family in continued danger because of the things he has done. Even when consistently given outs to this life, he chose again and again the more dangerous road. Multiple times his family has been threatened. Multiple times bad things have come close to happening to one or another of them. Skylar is now a money laundering emotionally abused woman who is so trapped in her situation that she would rather kill herself than go on much longer like this, as we have seen. Holly, the little infant, can now officially say she has been threatened of murder by a drug kingpin. Walt Jr. has been purchased a sports car with his Dad's drug money. Dad forced Walt Jr. to drink alcohol over and over to prove himself that he is a man with testicles as big as Walt's now.
Walt doesn't care about his family. He cares about himself. His family is the false justification he gives himself so he can pretend he's not a narcissistic lunatic with delusions of grandeur.

Walt didn't 'allow' Skyler to rat him out. Walt genuinely think he scares her enough that she wouldn't do such a thing. That's just how his ego is now. If he found out Skyler ratted on him, he would freak. I don't know for a fact it would lead to murder, but it would be perfectly in-character.
That is if each round is a nukeThe only person who NEEDS to be shot by a machine gun to die is Huell.

I disagree, that is perfectly in line with the trajectory of Walter. He keeps getting worse and it's clear he hasn't really cared about his family for quite some time. Or at least not Skyler.
And he knew damn well she wouldn't rat him to the cops in that scene. He didn't look remotely stressed.
I just can't see Walt intentionally killing Skyler.

Hank will let it slide
Huell will then become upset (reasonably) and go after Walt because he believes he deserves more power
Walt will devise a plan to stop huell
Walt traps him in his lab and he's too huge to kill so the only option is radiation poisoning he microwaves huell
This doesn't stop huell it actually makes him stronger
Walt is terrified so he buys an m60 and moves to Japan while the radiation makes huell literally grow bigger and stronger every second
Huell heads for japan
Godzilla 2014
The character doesn't take kindly to perceived betrayals. He threw a coniption when Jesse cooked Blue behind his back. He flipped out on Beneke for getting fucked by Skyler. Shot Mike for not giving up the names. And he forgave Skyler twice already, her working with the DEA to bring him down would be the last unforgivable straw.
It was actually something I picked up on the re-watch. he is constantly obsessed with skyler loving him and him being with her.
Remember when he bought the pizza that he threw on the roof?
If he didn't care about her, he'd have given her up already, imo. For whatever reason you want to come up with, he has to be with Skyler. Killing her makes no sense.

He was pretty sure about it but he had to know there was at least a chance. Nobody can be certain, TV magic aside.
I think Walter likes the idea of family more than the family itself. Above all he relishes playing the role of the provider. When that role is questioned he simply can't deal with it. It doesn't matter what ends he needs to go to fulfill is masculine fantasy, the feeling of people depending on him for survival is a huge ego boost.Yeah there is something there that wants to be with her. I am torn on this issue, as I think he does have some sort of "soul" left. I personally think he's at the point where if she can bring him down, his remaining love for her will be outweighed by his ego. Plus I think some of his desire for her is about power. My brain hurts

Is anyone else holding out hope we get to see Walt get high on his own supply? The machine gun definitely points to a methed-out rampage.
Walt doesn't care about Skyler. He cared about Skyler putting the terms on how she left him. He cares about Skyler threatening him. He cares about something he doesn't have control over.
As we saw even then, he was continually abusing her emotionally. That moment when he was in the kitchen of her house after she threw him out and he refused to leave and pretended he was the nicest man on Earth is fucking Joker-from-Batman levels of evil. He intentionally used Walt Jr.'s love of him as a wedge between him and his Skyler, forcing her to give in so as not to be the "bad guy." Not only that, it demonstrated Skyler had no control over this man. Powerless, is it any surprise she fucked Ted? This guy is a controlling, obsessive, self-absorbed monster at this point. He manipulated his entire family to get what he wants. He's abhorrent by any measure.
I really have no idea how anyone can describe what Walt has for Skyler 'love.' That's not what love looks like people! Get healthier relationships![]()
Have you ever seen people in a bad relationship? Men who beat their wives but the man does actually love his wife?
Yeah, the guy is a fucking piece of shit who beats a woman up and it's a very fucked up version of a relationship, but "love" isn't a really definable thing and women stay with these men (even when it's not fear) and men are so heartbroken when they leave etc that love comes in numerous forms, even when fucked up.
Walt's love for Skyler is very fucked up. But he is devoted to her in this sense.
Tell me, why does he try to hard for Skyler to love him? The pizza scene? The watch scene? Jane's dad's advice? Gus's advice? Why does he always run back to save them when he thinks they're in trouble or he called her almost in tears before he thought he was going to die?
Take your objectively out of this. We agree Walt has done awful things to Skyler and he's a POS for it. But ask yourself, in Walt's mind, does he love her regardless of what fucked up version of love it is? Does he want to be with her? Does he want her to love him?
The answer to all those questions are yes. And for that reason, it makes no logical sense for him to kill her. I mean, his life would have been so much easier had he already done it, but he hasn't.
Like I said, I recently re-watched the series and one of the biggest and most obvious themes of the show was Walt's complete devotion to Skyler, even if it's a fucked up form. He has to be with her otherwise he's a wreck.
Even if all of this is true, its still possible that Walt would kill Skyler, if he found out she was working with Hank to put him in prison, in a fit of rage.
It might not be logical, but people don't always behave logically when they're enraged.
But who knows maybe Skyler won't even die at all, we're all just going to have to wait and see.

That's not love. He can say it is love, but it is automatically not love when you're beating the shit out of a woman for it. You lose the right to call it love at that point. In order for that to be love the word love would need to be completely redefined, and he certainly is in no position to deserve such a right.
That's obsession. And it's completely selfish obsession - in these relationships, the emotion isn't 'love', it's 'control.' A man like that, in order to feel whole, must completely control himself and those around him. A woman disobeying such a thing is an affront to his very being.
Like this wife beater, Walt doesn't deserve the right to redefine love. He doesn't love Skyler any more than he loves Jesse.
To Walt, they are always the last remaining element he feels he can manipulate or control. When all else fails, that is his last resort to feel like a man. He's not running to them because oh god I finally realized how much I loved them, he's doing it because he has been backed into a corner and things are spiraling out of control and he feels the need to take an action he can control.
He doesn't care, Black Mamba. Seriously. The woman all but said she hopes Walt dies from cancer and Walt basically said she is fucking trapped and there's nothing she can do about it. This is not love. This relationship bares no similarity to love. It's a one sided element that Walt only uses as it suits his selfish ends
