i use a psp-go brick with a 3rd party cable upstairs (total price was less than $5) and the officially frayed one downstairs.

if your brick is done, just get a psp-go charger and toss the USB portion (or give it to me since i have go)

Me too on both counts. DW is iffy, so is DoA5+, but Muramasa is guaranteed for me.

I had enough room on my card, but if I pick up dragon's crown + muramasa next week, I'm going to have to make more room.

I'm currently thinking about Ridge Racer for some reason. For <$14, you can own everything... but I'm not big on racing games (though I did like the Outrun Arcade game on 360).

Edit: No longer considering RR after watching some reviews. It's a shame GGAC+r doesn't have online or proper widescreen support... I'd buy it for <$5 as is, but not $7.50. I'll just put that towards DoA5+ or something.

and play the shorter games that i'll get from sale, as well as DC, Killzone, etc.. then pick it up back up during a dry vita spell - winter i'm assuming..

or

B. stick with P4G which will probably take me all of the fall to beat, considering i play about an hour a day give or take - which would hopefully net me some sales on the newer games down the line but miss out on the DC and killzone MP??

This is why I have to ask millions of times how a game is and usually wait a couple of weeks to do it. That first week everyone's going "OMFG THIS IZ BEST GAME 4 EVER!!!!!!1!!11!one!!!"

I'd much rather people tell me what they don't like about a game instead of just saying its super awesome.

No, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd was never released outside of Japan. Most recent game in the franchise you can get on a western account is Freedom Unite. You might want to look into Toukiden when it comes out later this year though, seems like the closest you'll get for a native Vita title.

Hey, I'm no expert on either game. Toukiden just seems to be the one that people seem to think has the closest combat system, with slower, more deliberate attacks, so if someone wants Monster Hunter specifically, I figured it wouldn't hurt to point it out to them.

Considering I had 85% of the compendium done on my initial playthrough... I just bought my level 85 Trumpeter with debilitate/heat riser/etc. This is going from easy to sleepwalk.

In case someone was wondering, No, you can't put Vita on your portable Tank, It just wont stay still, you need to put it in another place.

Toukiden is as close to MH as you can get on the Vita, right down to the slow-paced combat.

smh. because the world need another MH clone? developers should try to improve the formula and combat (like SS) and avoiding the badness not just copying. but hey thanks now I don't care if Toukiden get a localization or not.

oh well, maybe Freedom Wars will try to be something new(I hope).

SLink MAX trophy is one playthrough (they don't carry) and sort of a pain, even with a guide -- I'm using one, but I'm already making several deviations and hoping they pay off (the guide was written for someone who hadn't maxed all the traits like courage, so I'm doing some things like skipping the jobs that increase those and trying to do nanako/dojima SLinks in their place... it's funny because I'm in June and nanako's SLink 7 was supposed to occur in October in the guide and I already have it. I've been holding off on reading books until I can get the hyper speed reading book again in August...)

Another side note I forgot to mention above -- since you carry money and Daidara's stock over to NG+, you can buy the same weapons/armor you had from the end of your last run IMMEDIATELY pretty much. I have MC/Chie/Yosuke/Yukiko all running with the top weapons i had and top armor. It's amusing like you wouldn't believe. Pretty much everything dies in 1 hit.

This reminds me -- heckmanimation -- if you want to play P4G but don't feel the need to be challenged by the battles and don't like grinding, if you're not very far, start over and put it on easy or very easy. You'll thank me later -- then you too can be level 30 and flying through the dungeons in the blink of an eye.

I would not compare Dark Souls combat to Monster Hunter in any aspect as far as the combat goes. I bought MHFU for PSP to play on Vita because I thought they looked similar. They don't play/feel anything alike though, IMO.

He's the only Persona in the game that can't be registered in the Persona Compendium. After registering the skill card from Izanagi-no-Okami, I never touched him again.

Brief impressions of a few games I picked up this week:

• Floating Cloud God. Had it as a mini and found it awkward to get into, right stick to shoot makes a huge difference. Such a charming style as well.
• Alien Breed. Not sure what I was expecting, but I'm not impressed at the moment. Not a fan of the way keys work (seems like a lazy way of designing the levels) at all.
• Hotline Miami is awesome. Thinking of going for the platinum now that I've finished it... but struggling to get A+ even on the prologue!

Yeah, I'm reminded of that too. Just like Corpse Party, they didn't bother upgrading the sprites to match the increased display resolution of the system and just upscaled them. Only it's worse, because at least CP had native-res backgrounds. Eesh...
