My only concern is the background music for his stage. His stage's music was my favorite from the entire series.
This game just keeps looking better and better. Is it still free to play?

Man, with Glacius and now Thunder, Jago looks really fragile, lol.
Well, that redesign makes me a little less worried for what they're going to do to Fulgore.
It isn't and it never was.

What? It has a F2P option and a retail model
If by "F2P option" you mean "demo" then yes. But I imagine that's not what you had in mind.
How is it not F2P? Didn't they specifically say you can download the base game with Jago and then add to it via charactern dlc?

Because you can also buy the entire game for a set price.
Don't know what you're getting at.
It's a F2P fighting game.
Has one character and all modes for that character unlocked in the free version. All modes are available to you.
You pay to unlock more characters you want. Standard fighting game F2P model.
Yeah I know but it still doesn't remove the fact the game has a standard F2P model as an option
Pricing structure goes like this.
Full Game - Set price, you get everything.
Demo Game - Jago only, all modes playable.
Individual Character Game - Can buy characters individually on top of the demo game if you don't want to play the full roster.
How much this stuff costs will hopefully be available at gamescom.

Was this actually confirmed? I was under the assumption that they would release them over "seasons" that you could download as, like, packs. If that makes any sense.
I haven't seen any fighting game where the demo allows you to play against people with the full game (if you do know of something like that on consoles, let me know).
It's a free to play game. Not just a demo.
Looks much better in motion than in stills.
people really liked the killer instincs character designs? maybe im the only one who thinks they are horrendous and unoriginal
the big difference is that other normal f2p games, dont have a complete version to purchase at launch.
this has been done only to get new people, that want to try the game, but dont want/cant afford the full price.
This game hasn't impressed me too much, but I'm liking the direction they've taken this character. He kind of reminds me of Alex in a way, with the stomp and command grab, which is awesome. The stage looks great too.
It doesn't matter why it's being done. There IS still a F2P option for those who want it. That's the entire point of my posts. You can't refute it. Come up with your own definitions of what is truly a F2P game, but regardless the game does have a F2P model for those that want to treat it as such, whereas other regular fighting games do not offer such an option. That's a fact.
I wonder how they'll handle Kim Wu, since they tried to make Thunder look like an actual indian. Will she look even remotely Korean?
ok, so what's the problem?
looks pretty good, but i miss the mohawk.

Nothing. Just clearing up misinformation.
Jargon. People hear "F2P fighter" and they hear "pay to win". Really this IS a glorified demo - certain options are restricted, you pay once and you have the game. The only difference between "F2P KI" and the VF5FS demo on XBLA is the VF5FS restricts you to offline vs and only 3 or 4 characters.
