For North American users, the Open Beta for Killzone: Mercenary will be made available to PlayStation Plus subscribers on August 20th (after the Store update). Those of you who went out of your way to acquire special beta access vouchers — Perhaps through a certain promotion on PS Home? — will also be granted early access!

(5) GET Silent Hill: Book of Memories, Totori Plus and Muramasa (all highly recommended by GAF)

Got the beta code for KZ:M. I'm away on vacation till next Saturday so won't be able to use it till then. I have my vita but no Internet access.
 
In that Face-Off PS3 vs Vita article, it said that the frame-rate in Uncharted GA got unbelievably bad at certain points. I do not remember that happening at all. Did other people have that kind of experience?

I was thinking the same thing. The frame rate may've dropped, but not to a point where I felt it affected gameplay or made it unplayable. In fact, the only thing I remember disliking vehemently were the touchscreen QTE boss fights.

Not for me either. It was pretty solid for what I remember. Really took me by surprise, too, being as this game was being played in my hands anytime, anywhere. Really loved it.

On a side note, I remember one major thing I dislike about NFS. The bumper cam. Far too low to the ground. In track type racers, GT & PGR, it's in car 100% of the time. In open world racers like NFS & Midnight Club, I prefer the outside cam so I can see everything a little better, spacing and whatnot. But I do love to change it to the in car for that super white knuckle obstacle dodging, and NFS disappoints me greatly in that aspect. Still
A fantastic game though, can't put it down!

If I could only get Soul Sacrifice or Totori Plus, which one should I pick?

Dont recall it happening, at least nothing that disrupted the game to much. Maybe near the end with the explosions it may have but nothing awful. I do see the frame rate drop in sonic on one level and real bad sometimes but i can still race with it pretty well lol
 
After discovering the ragdoll cheat for Shinobido 2, I've been having a lot of fun replaying it.
Why use boring grappling hooks when you can be RAGDOLL BATMAN; gliding impossibly far distances to dispense ninja justice upon unsuspecting guards?

Soul Sacrifice too... as of now, it's one of the must have game when you have a Vita along side of Guacamelee and Persona 4 Golden. With a bit more work polishing the mechanics and the story mode, the game could end up being a Monster Hunter killer... and Vita's new Killer App! Seriously... I'm not jk. :/

I never messed with the rag doll mode. After I spent about 40 hours on my first (and only) play through, I kind of lost my motivation to play. I was helping Amarita. Or whatever that ladies name is. I really wanted to play through it for the other feudal lords, this seems like it could really spice it up. Really stupendous game though, especially being a launch title.

I'm thinking about getting a Vita today for my 24-hour trip to the US.
I found a really good deal, and even if the price is cut to $200, it wouldn't make that much of a difference. Should I just go for it?

It would make no differences if you bought it now or after price cut because its $200 at Target/ Best Buy right now....

Basically when you cancel one of Zen's animations, he retains the exact momentum he had when you pressed left (the button used to activate ragdoll mode once you enter the cheat code). So you can use it to jump really far and high - above enemy sight-lines.
Even better, you can press square to recover in midair and cancel that recovery with a ragdoll, sending him even higher with good timing. By repeating this and combining it with his glider, Zen can essentially fly.

EDIT: Or not. I can't glide after an aerial recovery consistantly. Ah well, just ragdoll, recover, repeat.

In all honesty, I'd say neither.

I don't think Soul Sacrifice is very fun at all. Totori Plus could totally be your thing, but it requires a certain taste to enjoy.

If you think Totori Plus is up your alley I'd say go with that. If not, I'd say neither unless you play the Soul Sacrifice demo and it really clicks with you. Either way, at least play the SS demo before buying it.

Fly or no fly, it sounds sensational. I'm barely able to stay awake now, but I shall be doing this in the mornin ASAP.

I didn't like Battle Royale very much, but $15 for Sly sounds pretty good!

LBP Karting is already on PS+, I think it's still available right now actually.

was hoping LBP:Vita would be added to Vita IGC

hmm.. I have already downloaded Hitman from Plus... but instead of showing Purchased, it still shows Free...
is this so for anyone else?

Sly Cooper is a no-brainer at that price. The other two are poor knockoffs and I'd stay as far away from them as possilble. LBP Karting is in the instant game collection, btw. It'll be there until June 2014.

I don't think I will S rank all the levels in Stealth Bastard. The last couple sections of section 7 was brutal, especially the boss. And the missions in section 8 don't get any easier.


I got some money coming my way so maybe I'll get Dragon's Crown, but I will need to see after the damage done with this week's vita sales.
