Oh btw, fuck Saul for suggesting Walt kill Hank. I was on the fence about his moral compass before but he's no doubt and asshole. Also Skylar has shown her true colors finally. She's broken bad fully as we'll just like Walt. Jesse is a hollow shell right now. He won't rat bu Walt will probably believe he will and kill him. His days are definitely numbered now.

They already are numbered with the cancer.

I really don't want Lydia to be the "main" enemy of walt at the end. That would be very, very disappointing. I mean... I don't know. It just feels messy and incoherent thematic-wise doing that. Hank vs. Walt or Jesse vs. Walt would make a lot more sense to me.

And though "Buried" is an episode where so much of the action is driven by the women, it ends with two men — one of whom has had a lot to do in the hour, one of whom hasn't said a single word — about to come face to face, and perhaps team up to take down the great Heisenberg.

Seriously the best episode of television in the history of the medium

WALT:
What does he know?

SKYLAR:
It's in the past.

MARIE:
There's no telling where the lies begin and end!

JESSE:
You're telling me the truth?
I MEAN ISN'T THAT WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT?

SAUL:
I never would have agreed to it if I knew what he was gonna do! You've gotta believe me!

HANK:
He's not gettin' off that easy.

i had a bit of a hard time figuring out what saul was saying, but i think i got it

Hank has always been Walt's thematic "villain," and rest assured the resolution of that conflict will be the ultimate one. Lydia is just a plot device to get the already spinning wheels to catch on fire, to make things more interesting.

It's a little early to worry about that, I'm sure Hank and/or Jesse will play a big role in the end.

Given the flashforward, and recent present events, things clearly take a terrible turn at some point soon.

  • Lydia and gang are willing to kill swaths of people to get what they want (which inevitably seems Walt back as cook), and obviously don't want anyone talking; what will happen if they hear that Jesse was in custody?
  • Jesse was taken in custody, deep suspicion has fallen on him due to his ghetto fabulous charity, and Hank is about to grill him about Walt
  • Walt and Skyler don't want to divulge anything and Walt no longer wants to be involved in the meth business, but he's still willing to take incredibly dangerous and unpredictable risks to keep people away and stay in control
  • Hank and Marie are steadfast in getting Walt but have no idea of a) Skyler's money laundering on top of her refusal to talk (and as such possibly get immunity), and b) the murderous threat posed by Lydia, Todd and his crew, and Madrigal as a whole
It's all bad news. Just a mix of shitty things that are about to coalesce into something really unfortunate for all parties involved.

Fair enough points. Sometimes I get tunnel vision. You are right, there is a lot more moving pieces going on then I'm giving credit for.

Absolutely.

How anyone could not have faith in this show after these two historic episodes is unfathomable to me.

The podcast went up waaaaay too late last week. Here's hoping it's up tomorrow. Guessing either Dean Norris or Anna Gunn will be a guest.

Fuck that Skylar is smart in this case, if it wasn't for the money she could have taken the baby and ran hell before it was born.

If you are going to suffer through her situation you don't throw away all that sacrifice and cash just because Hank wants to "win".

Really hope they do something interesting with Jesse. This boo who bullshit is already growing old to me.

Oh my God, I feel like a dunce for not noticing this. The imagery of Jesse on the merry go round at the beginning was a essentially a revolver with a single bullet.

This show is off the chain. They're such geniuses.

Can't believe how quickly I went from liking Jesse so much to hating him.

What's the difference between Jesse now and how he acted sometimes in Season 4 and 3. People for some reason forget that Jesse has always been a sensitive and a emotional wreck. He doesn't know how to control his feelings.

Nice. Michelle Maclaren is perhaps the best director Breaking Bad has.

Fuck you're right. This could be another Gus in the elevator with ding that foreshadow his death.

Shit...

okay okay okay I've been holding out but I'm officially joining the Skyler haters club now. She's fucking stupid.

She was hated on because she was against Walt. So I'd think the haters club would be a lot smaller now.

That first scene was the most I've ever liked her. She's just as guilty as Walt. She has no moral high ground here. Stand by your man, Skyler. Don't be a rat.

it's amazing how many things are simmering and ready to blow.

jesse's too much off his rocker for me to have an opinion either way. the #teamwalt deep inside wants me to go NOO YOU IDIOT NOOO but its clear he's over the rainbow and there's probably no going back. i'd like to think he doesn't go whole hog in confessing everything but i don't know why else writers would put him back in custody

I feel like an idiot, but how did tapping his fingers and looking into the camera when the bell rang foreshadow his death? What am I missing?

Hector's ding were similar to the elevator dings. It may not have been intentional but when people remember that scene they immediately thought it was a foreshadow.

Looks like it. I don't know why some are hating on Jesse and Hank. I mean god forbid he (Hank) goes after a man who cooks drugs and murders people.

I know that some will say Walt's out, but come on he's been out a month and it doesn't undo all the shit he did.

yeah but he went back to saying he did it all for his family

buy a round of whisky
all is forgiven
