Killer Instinct coming to Xbox One

Going to reiterate my prediction from 2 months ago:

Premium edition of the full game + access to all future characters + some bonus skins: $60-100
Full game (all characters at release) + some bonus skins: $40-60
3 or 4 characters and a skin or two: $10-20
Single character: $4-5
Skin: $1-3

I can't imagine there being any less than 8 characters at release.

I never thought much of Combo, but the other 3? Fulgore was the face of the game!

I think they're probably being referred to as the "core four" because these 4 characters demonstrate the four different types of play styles that will be in Killer Instinct. The rest of the characters, while no less important, likely fall within one of these styles.

Besides, we all know Orchid>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

You saw it in the reveal video. It's a full blown tornado.

Some interesting tidbits of information.

So only the first half of the dash is invulnerable. I did notice that the dash crossed up in the video. Interesting spacing stuff. Need to learn the length of Thunder's dash if you don't want to cross up by mistake.

I guessed most of that from watching the video, but it's nice to have confirmation. I want to know what the recovery on the dash is and exactly how many frames of invulnerability it has. I also hope that Triple Axe is advantage and uninterruptable. If not, I think Thunder will have some trouble getting in, even with the Instinct dash (unless he has meter). Also, if Shadow Triple Axe isn't advantage on block, that's going to really suck.

What I did find interesting is that he has throw Linkers. Does that mean his command throw with LP/MP is a Linker (with HP being the Ender), or can his normal throw be used as an Ender? I imagine it's only the command throw, but it wasn't mentioned when they said it could be used as an Ender (which I expected).

I just hope they aren't confusing announced with teased

^THIS. Show us the character please. The Thunder tease at Evo was very disappointing.

Ive only been a casual KI fan, but I absolutely love the character designs so far in this game. I have my day on xbone preordered just for this game, looks amazing.

@defdonovan1 refined breaker windows, tweaked auto speed, fierce linkers, crazy fast loading, glacius can hold his projectiles, etc. Win!

I really like the hold-able fireball idea... and fierce linkers, you say? Along with the tweaked breaker windows, this should make it harder to break things, and lean us more towards "learn the character to break" rather than the "50% chance of victoly!" we have now...
 
Sounding good to me. BTW i went to DH forums for the first and last time yesterday. What a clusterfuck that place is, holy shit!
 
I thought you could only break ADs and MDs (or an ender if it's opener-ender), not linkers... Was that introduced in EVO build or was I misunderstanding the entire time?

You could break everything in the Evo build.

I'm curious how fierce linkers work. In previous builds, if you did a fierce special, you'd get an Ender.
 
We'd assume the ice cluster. He can delay it's release.

They'd probably call his long range normals something else...
 
-- Instead of people jumping it on "summon", you can delay, and AA them with it.

-- Chief Thunder's Sammamish + Stomp Might have gotten around it too well, and this is the balancing act.

-- Charge attack dash canceling? (O.O)

-- May be able to bait a break attempt, then punish with projectile release?

-- Or maybe he could summon it, and keep the charge (Zero Style), and move with it ready-and-waiting for the button release? (This sounds a bit too good, but would be pretty cool!)

You've always been able to break anything in the new game. You have to break at the correct strength though.

If you guys are going to the The Fall Classic (Raleigh, NC) it was announced that the latest build will be there. The tournament takes place Sept 14-15.
 
Was about to ask if I missed the Fulgore reveal somewhere, but then saw he was on the the list of characters still on deck to be shown earlier in the thread.

I loved his combos and the turret that popped out of his head.

Haha, I'm in Raleigh NC, and I never heard of the Fall Classic. Thanks for the info! Never get hands on anything like that here, lol. Cool Deal!
 
It may be nothing but the "best games are on Xbox one" trailer had killer instinct logo as a chrome blue not unlike the original game
 
Would youse be into an "HD remake" of KI1 & KI2 that re-modeled the original CGI but in real-time 3D graphics on XB1?

I think that would be kindof cool. They would need to stay as 1:1 as possible to the original CGI models, though; no "reinterpretation" a la Duck Tales remake, etc.
