Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | August 2013 | Divekicks & Dragons

Anyone else sitting around in their boxers with coffee, waiting for this show to get going? I suppose this will be my last chance for prediction.


No console price drop
Memory card tier shifts with addition of 64
Borderlands 2 Vita
GoW Vita
Indies

My predictions:

Remote Play discussion OR demonstration
2 SCE games (Pets may be included in that 2)
Two third-party games, probably not third-party exclusives though
Possibly a price drop to $200
Memory card price reduction and bigger capacity card
Indie reel
 
Pardon my ignorance, but I had never even heard of gamescom until i joined GAF. I hadn't realized it was such a big deal until a few months ago (mostly because of this thread). I learned how to correctly spell it (coM, not "con") yesterday.

I've found that most things that generally aren't a big deal to the outside, are here at GAF :P

tbh, neither did I

and if it makes you feel better, i have 0 hype for it. i only get hyped when I get a release date for something I was anticipating.

i did watch the last PS4 conference at E3. that was alright
 
How long is Sony's conference expected to be?

I can't decide if it will be a good or bad sign if they talk about Vita first...

I have been anticipating KZ:M since the unveiling, but holy shit! The game looks even better than the many videos, screenshots and Gaf graphical gifs led me to believe!

It's a marvel, a revelation and looks beyond anything I would have thought any existing portable could currently produce. KZ:M truly looks like a high end console game, no joke.

You've gotta see and play this to really believe, though. Sept 10, hurry!

- New Assasins Creed.
- Borderlands 2.
- Duke Nukem Ultimate.
- New Call of Duty.
- Injustice Gods Among Us.
- Doom 3 BFG Edition.
- Indie games announcements: FTL, Rogue Galaxy, Don't Starve, Legend of Grimrock.
- A jrpg will be announced.
- GTA V Stories
- First tease of Bioshock.



Anyway I should keep my expectations low :p

How can I get my save from my cart to my DD version of the game? will the bubbles merge to form ultra-mega-bubble and not require any connection to my computer to back up my save?

I don't want to lose my gold characters....again

I'm still waiting for the original to pricedrop or get a sale on Vita (which sadly wont happen) I really really want it, but there's no way I'm paying $17 for it when it's cheaper on other platforms.

There was a guy in here talking about an invincible Yoshitsune in P4G.
I have one, but it doesn't have 1/2 the skills his had (a bunch of absorbs or reflects)... they don't seem to be in it's natural level progression or it's fusion choices either...

Does anyone know if it required skill cards to make it have those skills?

It'd be really sad if they flaunt Borderlands 2 around as a major release. Which is exactly what they'll do I'm guessing.

I'd hope for any Japanese games to be announced, but that's not happening.

I would back it up them restore the save once you have downloaded the psn version.
 
I've massively over-predicted Vita games/news over the last 4-5 gaming industry shows so I'm going to do the opposite here:

5 minutes to announce:

- Price reduction to $199.
- 64 GB card announced, but NO new pricing structure for existing memory cards.
- NO new 3rd party AAA exclusive or AAA console port games.
- NO new Sony exclusive AAA games .... KZ, Tearaway, Freedom Wars, and GoW HD highlight reel will be shown instead.
- 2-3 new indie games.

10 minutes to show:

- Vita PS4 cross functionality.

Hopefully I'm disappointed by my predictions and Sony actually delivers this time around.
