I don't think the equipped vanguards are based on killstreaks, they just have a cooldown timer. Then there are also vanguard drops.
Had the same problem, a restart of the game fixed it.
Hey there new Vitabros. Soul Sacrifice is awesome, especially in MP. You should definitely get it. Same goes for Persona 4: Golden. It's the best JRPG I have played.
You should also consider LBP and Wipeout if you don't get it through PS+. You may consider Hot Shots Golf while it is on sale.
From the indie games you should buy Hotline Miami, Guacamelee, Velocity Ultra and Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack (on sale right now).

Definitely get Guacamelee, it's great! Get Mutant Blobs Attack as well.

lol. why would you want/need to do this? and why would you think it was possible? It likely times out after only an hour.
I don't leave my Vita on for two weeks, but on the peel page, isn't there a refresher tab next to the manual and code redemption?

Edit: Say after two weeks you start up your vita, goes straight onto store, and tries to login. At that time, you could press the PS button and click the refresher? But I really don't know that'll work.
I don't think that is possible. I also have that problem and it is dumb. But closing the app and reopening isn't really a big annoyance.
I believe that's just for the Activity Feed with all the game ads.

Killzone is pretty damn sweet, Not even gonna lie but I suck ASS online... Wow I got dogged, It wasn't even funny. Kinda confusing to try and figure out how the match operates. Amazing the game is gonna drop in 2 weeks time like nothing...
Beta made me pass though, Ill get it eventually but Im not trippin since Ill save a hard $40. Lol. Might focus on Tearaway for my fall/winter. (You idiot, you need to finish SoulSac and Dragon's Crown)

When you visit the store and leave the app open in the background, it won't show you any newly updated content in the storefront.
It should refresh the storefront by itself when there is new content. You have to close the app and restart it. I shut down my Vita maybe once a month, so I have the store app open all time. It is a little bit annoying, that's all.

I would say that if you'll be playing primarily solo, the game wouldn't be too suited for your needs. But it does look like a community is forming around it. Lets see if it sticks
It could just be a simple case of developers wrapping their heads around the hardware and are just sharing their knowledge with each other (or keeping it for themselves, dohoho). Standard fare for every console.

It ran rather smoothly. Well, compared to the XBOX version I guess, dunno about the PS3.
However, notice I said "rather". The jankiness is still there, unfortunately, but it is not quite as profound as the XBOX version in my opinion.
It honestly truly looks better than a lot of PS3/360 games.
