Amazon have cut a lot of their prices for preorders, matching tesco. Beyond Two Souls steelbook is £32.99, FIFA and COD and others are £35, and all are release day delivery.

Ordered GTAV for myself!

For those of you getting a PS4, you might want to keep an eye on Amazon UK: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/feature....&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=422980927&pf_rd_i=300703

For some reason the game prices are dropping by the minute. These games were all at £55 at one point (especially the EA games which are now £42) and many more are dropping by a fiver and more. Watch Dogs was £55 like 20 minutes ago but is now £47 for some reason.

Either the RRP will actually be £40-£45 instead of the £55 being shown everywhere, or Amazon's in a good mood. :p

Thanks! Just pre-ordered Watch Dogs for £47.

Got free First Class release day delivery too, they're running a promotion :D

What's happening at Amazon! I just pre-ordered everything I was planning to pick up in the next six months. By everything I mean console games because PC games can be found cheaper elsewhere still.

The waiting game is going to be annoying. Amazon ships pre-orders very late and it usually takes a week to arrive to Finland but the price difference is just too much to consider local stores.

GTA V at £34,99 on Amazon is prob the best option right now yes?

edit: ok so basically Amazon is slashing their prices.

Get on that action, cheap asses!

Rayman Legends PS3/360 is £26.99 on Amazon now. Hmm.

Cheers. Got both.

Gotta love the Amazon price promise, I got Saints Row IV for £30 when it was originally going for £35 when I pre ordered. Also by the sounds of this thread doing good deals on most games.

Got my Saints Row IV key from Nuuvem. Surprisingly good customer support from them considering the circumstances honestly.

Have Amazon reduced some games randomly or something? A lot of stuff I was looking at just the other day (some Wii U, 3DS games) are down to £25 etc now.

Gah, must stop spending. >_<

Yeah they're doing it with next gen games too haha.

Assassin's Creed is now £47, down from £50 it was last night. Woot!

Waiting on Destiny and Infamous Second Son to drop as well. The latter is still on £55. :\

Want to get in on that GTAV price, but don't know which version to get. Don't suppose there's any indication which is better at this stage, PS3 or 360?

OK thanks, that's surely a good indicator.

Plus I guess it I did decide to be interested in the multiplayer then I wouldn't have to go Gold.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team is £25 on Amazon. Fuck, what a steal, I paid £32 last week. -.-

Edit: New Leaf for £25 too, Mario 3D Land for £30, LM2 for £27.

Guys, get in quick.

Just had to go pay import duties in the UK from a WOWHD order, is this a pretty common occurrence? If so I doubt I will bother ordering from them again.

WOWHD has warehouses all over the world. I've had games shipped from both Europe and Asia.

A bit of offtopic, will my PS3 order from TheHut(ship from the canal islands) be duty free to mainland Europe? First time ordering a console.

Amazons prices are pretty good at the moment but there is no point getting excited about their free first day delivery service - my copy of w101 has sat at the now dispatching status for 24 hours so I'm pretty sure its not going to be popping through my letter box today.

Dammit they got me hyped for day 1 kamiya action so im going to pay the extra 12p and get it at argos instead.

As long as it's EU to EU it will be.

Import duty is the worst, especially on something like a game that's only just over the limit. The 20% VAT isn't so bad but that £8 flat admin charge is a kick in the balls.

TheHut ships from various locations.

More expensive items (e.g. PS3 games on release day) are often shipped from within EU, which means duty free. Never ordered a console from thehut, no idea what they do in that case. I guess from inside EU as well.

If they ship from outside EU, a console won't be duty free of course (unless you are really really really lucky).

In my country such charges are illegal and shouldn't be paid. No idea about UK. Is that charged by customs? Or by post delivery service for getting your items through customs?

There is no way to tell, as far as I know, I sometimes have to pay out of the blue. Better to think that it won't be duty free, less stress.

That damn amazon.co.uk video game shipping tax, I'd order everything from there if they didn't ask 6£ (!!) for one game...I ordered 3 games to bring down the shipping to 2.66£ per game, but it'd only ship when the last game is available and I'd have to pay import taxes and handling fees.

Any chance they split up the items? Guess they only do that when one game gets delayed, or when they used place holder release dates right?

No, it's a charge The Royal Mail make to us for them collecting the money for Customs.

Thanks for the heads up, pre-ordered GTA5 from Amazon. Hopefully I'll receive it on release day, something that hasn't happened with The Bureau or Saints Row 4. Pretty disappointed, this is the first time I haven't received a game on release day from Amazon.

Ah well, fingers crossed for tomorrow so I can play them over the bank holiday weekend.

Yep, Amazon's shipping is atrocious compared to Base.com ~£1-1.8 or even ShopTo's £2.85.
I don't get it honestly...

has anyone tried preordering more than 1 copy of Battlefield4 (PS4) at amazon.co.uk?
i´m getting an error when i try to get 2 copies, it says "limited purchase quantity on this item" and only lets me order 1?

edit:
ok, same deal for AC IV and Killzone:SF.
and it´s also the same with beyond: 2 souls for PS3
Wow, so ordering 2 copies to split the shipping fees with a friend is gone now?
was still possible for TLoU!

Amazon offer free super saver delivery from all of their regional hubs (with a minimum amount spent usually) to their native countries:

Amazon UK is free for UK (and some neighbouring countries)
Amazon Germany is free for Germany (and some neighbouring countries)
Amazon France is free for France (and some neighbouring countries)
Amazon Italy is free for Italy (and some neighbouring countries)

Since you're in Croatia, you'll likely get free shipping from Amazon Italy. And if you don't have that option yet, you might get it in the near future.

In my country some postal delivery services tried to pull that as well.

But there was that workaround, that you could contact them and tell them that you would do it yourself. In such case they wouldn't be able to charge anything. And later it was made illegal to ask for those fees.

Is it possible in UK to get packages sent to a local customs office, where you can go for yourself and pay custom fees? That's how it works here. I'm only getting a letter from customs that my package was stopped by them and that I have to collect it.

Do they charge you for that letter from customs? :)

40 euros for GTAV. Great deal! Pre-ordered. It's probably my last title for this gen.

Not that I'm aware of, mail seems to be searched by Customs then passed directly to Royal Mail to arrange collection of any fees due. It puts me off ordering stuff from outwith the EU as the risk often makes it not worth it and it delays the item by 7-10 days.

The VAT part doesn't really bother me, I wish more online retailers would let me prepay duty at the time of purchase to avoid this. I've noticed recently that Threadless do it but I haven't seen an online video game retailer that does.

By the time Infamous and Destiny launch next gen game price will have stabilised. I will wait on pre ordering those even if it drops a little further.
