That combined with EA likely to add some really gross microtransactions means I don't think any amount of games press circle jerk could make me give a shit about titanfall.
Wasn't the press equally excited after the Last of Us E3 demo, or the Bioshock infinite presentation? But I don't remember people calling that fake hype
EA Partners games like Kingdoms of Amalur, Crysis 3, Fuse, The Orange Box and many others don't have microtransactions forced by EA so why will Titanfall be different? Map packs will probably be the extent of the DLC.
You don't like the genre anymore and that's okay. Move on and stop letting it occupy mindspace.
This game looks more fun than all the FPS that has been released in the past two years...COMBINED. And that's without single player (which unfortunately has become stale in not just FPS but video games as a whole).
COD pacing + cooler and more fun vehicles than BF4 + Better optimization than PS2 = I'm there Day 1 but probably on PC. This game looks to be combining the best qualities from other popular FPS while adding a lot of their own
I liked when he claimed the price difference between PS4 and Xbox One wasn't so high when you include the cost of PS Plus. Because pretending Xbox Live is free is real professional.

The distinction between lumbering hulks and nimble footsoldiers sounds like great fun; you want to get a titan but are not lost without it. A lot of room for skills mastering. They seem to be sitting on pure gold. Too bad I'm too old (read timestarved) to care for multiplayer only games anymore.
Looks exciting. Can't wait to get my hands on it and give it a bash. I lost all interest in COD MP after Black Ops, so this looks like exactly the changeup in TDM games I've been craving. Plus, mechs!
The trolling towards this game really shows people's true colors. It has received the most favorable impressions of any next gen game, but somehow the threads always turn sour.
Holy shit, has the salt and hyperbole from anti-Titanfall people reached such a low that they are insulting Sessler? He is one of the best gaming advocates out there, respectable in almost every interview I see and defending gamers perspectives.
Holy shit people are so offended that an XB1 game is liked and it's not even an exclusive! Pathetic on so many levels.

Sessler also verbally masturbated over Bioshock Infinite. It's nice he gets excited about games still but he also needs to have a scale that doesn't stop and start at 10 out of 10.
At the E3 Giant Bomb show, a Respawn guy said that the cloud is integral to Titanfall, after explaining the general idea of cloud. When the GB dude (I think Jeff?) asked him what that means for the PC version, he said it'll "lack some niceties".
Has anyone figured out yet what those niceties are? I'm not just trolling, I really want to know what the XB1 exclusive features are and I haven't been following it closely. I think the game looks good but I don't plan on having an XB1 any time soon.
Looks like it has grown organically. Every PERSON who played it like it. I don't understand people like you. It is either a fanboy slant or you generally dislike anything with mainstream appeal.

Based on previews it's probably the best mainstream MP shooter I've seen.
Unfortunately, it's the best mainstream MP shooter I've seen, which is probably the genre farthest away from my tastes. In the end you have to give EA PR props, not a week passes without a hyperbolic "next CoD" article.
I'm sure there are some people that legitimately don't want to play it... but it seems clear to me that the reason for the hate is about microsoft and not about respawn or titanfall at all. People are aggravated with Microsoft, they don't want a xbox one, and in return they want to see it fail. Microsoft keeps tripping over itself but Titanfall seems to be sitting there waiting to save the system.
It's irrational. The system you hate is going to have a popular and fun game. Deal with it.
Seems like Sessler can't catch a break, if it's not being suggested he's high on drugs during tradeshows, it's that he forgoes any integrity for a friend.

I know this game's going to become multiplatform eventually. I just wish it was from the start. I can't afford to get both consoles within a year of each other.
Not my type of game. But seems to amaze a lot of people. Still though, shipping with no single player campaign is dumb. So like a year or 2 after the game is out, and the servers die off, you basically have a coaster disc?

Or you haven't played it, like the people who write about it, like me. I think this is the best MP shooter I have played since COD4. I think a lot of the negativity stems from people who haven't played it, have no idea how amazing the controls work, how great the pacing of it is or just hate the exclusivity.
For me this game is the reason to get a Xbone next year, but not before a price drop.

As a PC player I'd like to know what the niceties are. Good on them if they've actually managed to utilize the cloud as an exclusive feature for Xbone though.
It's funny how the same people calling Sessler a fanboy of MS, are likely the same ones praising Edge magazine's blatant PS4 shilling. The same ones who are quick to throw out phrases like "confirmation bias" when any poster calls them on that shit.
Being someone who is getting the PS4 only, I am a bit sad that I won't be able to experience this game with the next-gen experience until maybe a year after the X1's launch, if it does end up coming to PS4.
It does look like a really fun game, and I'm excited for all the X1 owners and looking forward to living vicariously through them in the meantime.
I was worried that Zampella and crew weren't gonna bring the heat with their first project at Respawn. It sucks not seeing West sharing all that positive response.
I hope TF can carry the same level of awesome that COD4 still has.
