Is there any word on whether or not R* will be doing DLC for GTAV like they did with GTAIV?
I have no hard time choosing a platform. I'm going with PS3, only because I grew up with GTA (3, Vice, SA and IV) on PS2 and PS3 before GTA2 and London on PS1.
I'm really curious about the apps on the in-game phone though.
I think there's an Internet browser app, as they dropped the Internet cafés and now let you invest in stock and visit social media on your in-game phone. Wonder what else we'll get - hopefully a Music app and a mini-game on it.

I'm trying to stay away from some minor spoilers but the wait...
I have decided I'm not going ANYWHERE for GTA V discussion other than this thread, and the main subreddit for the game. Over there, they've decided as a group that they're not posting any spoiler shit, and they're also not going to be doing 'Ooh look what I got!' stuff when people get the game. They're basically self-policing themselves along with the mods to ensure nothing but official Rockstar or media previews are posted.
Having said that, I think by the weekend before the game releases I'm just gonna go full-on blackout. I tried doing that before the character trailers came out but I simply could not help myself. God help me if there's a launch trailer.
There will be DLC, but my understanding is that the DLC they're planning will primarily be for GTA Online. There is a possibility, however, that the DLC will carry over between the main game and the Online portion. I don't have a source, but I believe I read or heard something like this, possibly from CVG's Leslie Benzie interview.

There should be a stat tallying how much cash you've paid to prostitutes that you then recoup after killing them. Because everyone's done it.

we have seen metro stations, trains and buses.
I don't know if the metro will be a suburban-intercity partially underground train like in SA.

From what I can remember, they had very little but you couldn't use it as transport. NYC is more of taxi state. LA is mainly buses.
I just want NPC's to use it - so it all feels more lively.
Did NPC's use the taxis in GTA IV?

That chart isn't total for the year, just what's currently selling the best. TLOU is still #3 for all of 2013 (which is what the "archive" is)

There were Greyhound-style busses but they weren't used for public transportation. There were numerous [useless] bus stops and stations as well.
NPCs definately use the subway though.

At some retailers you can get a poster for preordering.
As far as in game preorder bonuses go, the blimp is the only thing there is as far as I'm aware.

I cannot wait to see how these SUVs handle. From the Online video, there is a scene near the end of the vid, it's a dirt road, and several vehicles including an SUV are driving towards the screen, riding over a bump in the road and you can see the suspension of the vehicles at play.
Looks outstanding.
Man I have such high hopes for this motherfucking game. There is no solution to hyping myself up. Can't stop watching the trailers/videos, can't stop listening to tracks confirmed to be in the game, can't stop refreshing this page and the official subreddit, can't stop talking to my wife about it. The only solution is September 17th. But then, a new problem arises.
Can't stop playing the game.

I'm drawing the line at any unofficial video- there's nothing like launching the game for the first time, and experiencing everything yourself.

The music is insane. INSANE. I have loved every single track I've decided to listen to thus far, and can only imagine the enormous feels I'll get screaming along a highway in Blaine County with some of these tunes blaring.
BTW, this is a game that DEMANDS you play through it with headphones. So I've decided I'm going to invest in some really nice ones pre-release.
What's your favourite track you've listened to so far? Spoiler-tag if it you like. Mine was the track from Franklin's trailer, Jay Rock's 'Hood Gone Love It,' but ever since the Official Trailer was released I'm all about 'Sleepwalking' by The Chain Gang of 1974. To me, it feels like the official 'single' from the game, if there ever could be such a thing, because apparently it's the new single from the band, and it made its exclusive debut in that trailer. Now I'm a fan of the band. Rockstar is a lot of things, but one thing I don't think they get enough credit for is the power they wield when it comes to introducing new musical talent to a wide audience.
I've been thinking a lot about the gameplay, how it will feel to finally have control of the game, what it will be like to do a real-time switch between characters for the first time, what it will feel like to see the day-night change happen for the first time. There are SO MANY unanswered questions regarding this game that no fan of gaming can be blamed for obsessing over this title.

I usually like to remove the passengers from the taxis and make the driver change his course to mine.

It was also cool to just let the driver chafeur you around, I love doing that while taking in the sites and listening to JNR.
I hope we get an upgraded version of IV for next gen otherwise I'm gonna have to build a gaming pc within the next few years.

Ugh, these next two weeks are going to feel excruciatingly long.
Yeah, doing these replays on PC versions of GTAIV have been great. Really great looking game, but I also haven't gotten into that "ICE Mod" or whatever it was called. The graphical upgrade.
It's really amazing- some of the things you've mentioned are exactly the bits that any GTA fan would lose sleep over! Wondering what solo missions are like, how/what characters will be doing when we switch, exploring as days pass well into the night (literally & figuratively). I'm so excited about purchasable property being back, the great amount of clothing/car/tattoo customization and the vast expanse of wilderness that we'll be able to bike ride through. Everything, really.
The Chain Gang of 1974/and the piece they chose for that trailer fit so wonderfully. As for my favorite tracks- shit! There are so many!

Has there been any word on how the mission structure is in this game? Is going to be the same crap that was in GTA 4? Get mission, drive to the mission, complete mission and God forbid you fail and then have to start from the very beginning where you drive the mission. Hope it's different.
Seeing as they fixed that in Ballad of Gay Tony, I would imagine it would be different, yes.
