WHYYY

I am hook line and sinker with Invincible. Honestly some of the clunkiest dialogue this side of The Newsroom but, shit. I am just all over it. Dude puts together one hell of an overarching storyline.

Even considering getting back into The Walking Dead. Picked up vol. 17, digi. Kinda bummed he doesn't put sketchbook stuff in the TWD trades. That stuff is really interesting in the Invinicble books. And Ottley...holy moly.

Sighhhhhh.
Yeah buddy! Which issue are you up to?

I'm afraid to get into Invincible because I might like it. I would then have to buy all the trades to catch up. >_<

All this Millar/Nemesis talk makes me want to reread it. No one bought my issues on ebay so i'm holding on to them until a movie comes out. I had forgotten that the first issue said on the cover " Makes Kick-Ass look like shit"

Why!?!?!?!?!?! Would be funny though if Millar kept that up for each new series saying the last one looks like shit in comparison.

- The American Vampire anthology looks so good. That book is packed with some serious talent. I hope it's included in the 6th trade when that eventually releases. Related: I finished the 5th trade recently and it was brilliant. I'm glad they're taking a hiatus if it means Snyder and Albuquerque get to stretch their legs a little, because it means they'll come back refreshed. Exciting stuff.

Volume 6 is scheduled for April 1st, and will collect the Anthology and The Long Road Home.

Kelly Sue DeFriction cannot write comics. Hopefully its just a company thing cuz I have Pretty Deadly ordered.
I want to punch the page everytime I see her on the Image teaser making a Zoolander face.

Lists:

-Forever Evil #1
- All New X-Men #16
- Infinity #2
- X-Men: Battle of the Atom

As you can see, I am part of the event problem....

I might pick up some of the Villain's month one-shots but I haven't decided yet.

Also, every month Chew comes out, I am reminded that I should probably give the first trade or two a shot one of these days.

I did and I found it to be a tasty read.

Finished Volume 4 of Chew earlier today. Will we ever read one of Amelia's reviews? I've seen snippets of it but wanted to see what one would read like.

Is there any other comics in the same vein as Saga? Kinda looking for love story comics.

Oh and I wanna see more Fiona Staples art. She is a wizard

My list:
Superior Spider-Man #17
Infinity #2
Invincible #105

Sighhhhhh.

You get used to Kirkman's dialogue hehe, it doesn't matter when you have all sorts of awesome storyline shit going down with Ottley literally creating the world (is he secretly one of Hickman's Builders????) It's pretty much the comic I'd love to write if I had the chance.

I seriously don't know why Marvel hasn't thrown money at Ryan, he could be fucking amazing on a cosmic book.

Excellent choice.

I read most of it when I was younger but for some reason I never finished it. When I was in the Army all of my comics were destroyed in a fire. So I never knew what happened in Animal Man... until last year when some guy in my screenwriting class that pitched a movie about a guy obsessed with the ending of the comic. I was fucking furious.44

EDIT:

What's the difference between this

http://www.amazon.com/dp/1401241883/?tag=neogaf0e-20

and the one they sell at Barnes and Nobel?

No idea, but 1000 pages? Fuck that noise. My mrs is slowly getting the recoloured trades, that's perfect.

Sunstone?

The PDFs are free at Deviant Art.

It's erm... a bit risqué. But very sweet, and y'know, free.

Man I hate crossovers. Is the next Wolverine & X-Men just a tie-in, or should I skip it GAF?

Technically all the parts are supposed to 'count' but you could prob just read the first and last issues of the event and it would make sense. But WatXM is great, so read it anyway.

Just became an overnight backroom manager at Walmart only working there less than two months. Lol. One step closer to becoming a comics superstar!

One of my ongoing gripes with the way trades/omnibuses/collections are marketed is the issues collected within aren't front and center. For example the Sandman Omnibus collects through issue 37, I then have to dig through the reviews of the Sandman Trades on amazon to figure out what issues are collected in vol 1/2/3/4/5 of the Trades.

Obviously that information is available somewhere on the internet, it's just not always accessible as it probably should be.

OR you buy vol 2 of the omnibus when it comes out? Splitting a collection across multiple trade formats hurts my geek heart.

I'll likely finish the series by buying the rest of the trades (I currently have read through 1-4). Easier to read and at the moment probably cheaper.

I agree, splitting it across trades and an omnibus would be ugly.

Damn that sucks on all accounts.
Enjoy it though, it's easily one of my favorite runs on any comic.

Only just discovered about Amazing X-Men.

Two Aaron X-Men titles? I am spoiled.

Fuck yo Bendis event piss.

Compendiums are great collections but they are just too cumbersome to carry around and take out on the bus and such.

MU put up Age of Ultron #1 and the A+X #5 doop/iron fist issue that i wanted to read but didn't pre-order.

Bendis/Loeb books are always better when i don't have to pay extra for them.

I normally go to wikipedia for that. There's usally some info in the collected editions section of the entry for a particular series.

edit:

I've just had a look at the amazon pages for the trades. The information on the issues collected is there in the product description. You just have to click "read more" to reveal it. For volumes 1 and 2 at least. I didn't bother checking the others.
