Does anyone know if "Increasing Data Center Capacity" means character creation limitations will be lifted on the more populated servers?

I just found out that I'll be moving to Indonesia and I'd really like to get onto the Tonberry server.

Can someone paste a countdown of the maintenance? It's hard for me to keep track seeing as I'm in a different timezone than most of you guys.

That's what I'm hoping for but, even if it does end early, I can't see it being any sooner than an hour [maybe two] before its scheduled time. That still puts it at 2-3AM for me. :(
 
They haven't said anything about ACN and its jobs getting more pets in the next big patch, have they? It's so odd seeing people idling in town with pikachus
 
Too bad they can't do what FFXI did at it's launch (NA Launch). Because of server overcrowding (though nothing that really affected being able to play, other than there were just too many people and mobs were scarce), they actually gave everyone a chance to populate the new servers (can't remember if it was just Asura, or if there was another server as well). End result was arguably one of the most lively servers in the game to this day, with a very active endgame community, even with there weren't many people on endgame on other servers.

That's cause I started grinding fates I'm Costa with Mira Mora fff. Otherwise it still felt like forever to get to lvl 40 can't imagine how long it'll take to get to 45 let alone 50.

Also it's FUN. I'm one of the cool kids cause I'm a healer. Oh and we get MAJESTIC magical UNICORNS to ride on so yeah can't get any better than that tbh

Now I have to try an juggle 2 MMO's. I play WoW also. Is FF 14 maintenance every Tuesday, or is today an emergency? Hopefully its a different day.

An interesting note, if you buy a retail version you can either use the disc to download it, or you can use your CD-key to download the game on PSN.

I bought a copy for my friend who couldn't find a local copy anywhere and he was able to use the CD-key to download the game on PSN despite digital downloads being halted.

I was waiting for the server issues to subside so I can do the dungeons with DMPrince, because it's pretty hard to co-ordinate when either one of us can't get on. So I mainly bummed around Ul'dah and tried all these classes, will no doubt get ALC and WVR to 20 before even leaving the city, eek. Having lots of fun though! Ul'dah definitely feels like home.
 
I guess I'll wait for the maintenance to end and see how that plays out. I'm really hesitant to get this, since I generally quite dislike MMOs, but it does seem interesting, and a lot of my friends are playing it. I just wish there were some way I could try it out first before I drop $40 on it.

I dunno, I guess I'll keep thinking about it and watch some Twitch footage or something.

The cynic in me thinks that this maintenance will do little more than allow them to start up sales again by having new servers. People on existing servers will be boned until a transfer process in in place.
 
Poll could use some more than Yes/No.

I'd say it'll "help" but only by adding new servers/worlds. So until people get fed up with 1017 and move to them we won't see much improvement.

I'd like to be proven wrong though.

If you have a good PC, get that version. While the PS3 version is fine, it lacks a lot of graphical polish. At least the terrain distance is good, and I see little to no pop in. But it is pretty aliased.
 
Well, in my case, it's still the dual service account thing. Yet another day trying to get through live chat and nothing.

It's 8 days now since I first submitted the ticket saying I created the wrong service account; Thursday, Friday and now today all day trying to get through live chat. Still only errors to bring home.

I fear mainetance will end and this still won't be fixed to me. Every day I care less.

MNK 30, SMN 30, LNC 22, THM 15, MRD 14, CNJ 8.

Yes, I used jobs for my Pugilist and Arcanist.

Also, LTW 16, BSM 16, MIN 19.

Still crazy seeing people at max level so soon after release, ut early beta and early access helped. I'm playing with friends though, and we're not really in a hurry.

Well, if jaggies don't bother you, get it! :) My sharpness is at 4, so that helps, plus I play on a small 23" 1080p monitor, and I sit far back. I wish you could force the game to run in 1080p.
 
Let's guess the number of the new error code and what it will say!

"0666. You thought server maintenance would fix log in issues? Ha. Ha. Ha."
