As long as there are new players, there will always be people to go through dungeons with. So providing the game doesn't just stop selling all together, that won't be an issue.
The lure of new expansions in future will always bring in swathes of new players, too.

They can also rework those parts of the quests if the player base has moved well beyond it to the point of causing issues for new players. Lord of the Rings Online ended up doing that for a number of story quests that required groups initially.

With level sync I don't really see that being a big issue though. I think there will always be people available to help run newer players through the dungeons if needed.

Pretty sure the game tells you that changing GCs wipes all your seals in the previous GC.

Yes it just states that my seals will be "frozen" and the game didn't state anything about the 30 days penalty and starting the rank from the bottom again. Seriously upset and angry about this whole matter >=((

There will never be more new players than there are right now and people can still wait over an hour or two trying to use duty finder. When that pool of players drops sharply and you make dungeons as relevant as guildhests, you are going to run into a lot of players complaining about "LFP" wait.

Since everyone is posting theirs...

I thought I was still 23 but I forgot I leveled up before logging off last night.
I swear I didn't name him after the server on purpose.

Not only that, but people are always willing to try and play the different classes/jobs as well.

The weirdest thing about this game so far is how it seems like almost no one played FFXI.
I'll never get used to people asking for a 'rez'.

It probably won't be a problem for the people playing now (whatever ramifications to expectations aside), but new players four or so months down the line will likely run into some issues with story-required dungeons. The idea that someone will always be leveling something won't exist here (that's the reason lower level parties were constantly abundant in FFXI). Though I figure they may just turn off all the rules for dungeons very soon and let lv. 50s just sleepwalk through those to clear them (or have a friend do it for them). That seems to be more of their style these days.
This is definitely something I worry about. People choose FATEs over dungeons, people later on will have a harder time finding help with dungeons. I personlly hate FATE grinding so I try to do as little as possible, and I also don't intend to level everything right away. I figure a year from now when I want to level something else, I'll have to beg people to go to dungeons with me.

One thing I miss from GLD transition to PLD was the Internal Release Skill from PUG

OMFG!, Internal Release + Flight or Fight, fucking Orgasmic

The Fast Blade > Savage Blade > Rage of Halone
Mother of Christ was it amazing

Ya as a GLD I have a huge rotate of damage mitigation buffs, enough that I can almost keep one up at all times.

Sorry to be a bother. Which quest is this?

NE corner near the Bonfire.
You can unlock the quest in the late-teens, to break stuff down into materia, and then the quest to socket things with materia shortly after.
It's a PIA to do the latter though, you need to unlock specific craft classes for specific types of items.

Ah thanks!

What do I need to know to become a true Warrior?

"To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women. "

.

Just learn to love that getting hit by 4+ mobs and them doing jack shit to you, while you are murdering them with your Battle Axe, will have consequences....

An Inflated Badass Ego!

"Are you a DPS?"
"LFG"

To be fair, it is pretty obvious Yoshi-P hasn't either.

I saw 'LFG' a lot, especially for missions, but yeah... nevah evah 'DPS'.

Speaking of WHM. To all of you WHM's out there... Where does the Materia III comes from? I mean, I know how to meld items into Materia, but how do I get the one I need for WHM(Madman's Whispering Rod + 2 Quicktongue III)?

FATEs mean people will have 50 in all battle classes within the month.

Yeah cant see that happening, FATE farming is boring as fuck, cant see people sitting down and grinding out every class. Even getting through a second job was a struggle between will and boredom.

Ah so that was you!
It was freakin hilarious. I couldnt stop laughing.

I had a good chuckle, doing the 180 about-face RP when you told me, then I was all /emote hugs.

I had to post when it happened just in case it did seem sinister, my messing around was a bit dry lol

Random comment but... I wish they improved the animation for the skill "Lob Shield" for GLD. I LOVE the shield based skills. Especially ones where I throw the freaking thing.

I mean, I'm not positive, but wouldn't it come from converting high level armor?
how does lodestone work? it keep on saying my account has no characters.
It was no biggie. =p It was hilarious and never took it to heart.
Was freakin funny. Thats one thing I won't forget.

I recall he has said as much. When listing MMOs he's played, I've never seen FFXI as one of them.

No wonder the game turned out halfway decent outside of server issues.

FFXI is probably the worst MMO I have ever had the displeasure of spending alot of time trying desperately to like it. All it did was copy stuff from Everquest pretty much wholesale and then try to make it even more inconvenient even though alot of the stuff from Everquest was already pretty outdated by that point.

SE is still going to be SE when it comes to running a MMO type game, but at least Yoshida has seemed to be able to at least somewhat recognize the things they did incredibly wrong in FFXI. Plus we don't have to deal with friggin Tanaka and Sundi on XIV 2.0.

Level 3 materia comes from items 45-49, the stat you get its random, but seems based on the stats the item your converting has.
