I was thinking about it but I wish I was able to get more of those items from ways other than Veteran Rewards. That way I'll never have to make another character ever. :D

It just one advantage PLD/GLD has over other classes, and it's not without it's downside (since you can find yourself with the GCD down). Also PLD gets a silence skill for example.

It's a tank that have more ways to avoid/recieve less dmg in contrast with WAR that is more a brute tank focussing in a larger HP pool and recovery skills.
 
My lodestone is showing my THM gear in the preview but my CNJ gear and stats in the icons.

I'm pretty excited though, I unlocked SMN today, so I have all of the ACN and CNJ jobs. And Cystm has finally got his tank almost caught up with me on the main storyline so no more queues hopefully

I'm in tin can mode until the Lodestone updates with my MNK gear. I love the catear indentations on the helm though. :lol

Suggestion for everyone.. DO NOT DO GORUDA with a PUG group.. I wiped 9 times with a Pug group on it cause DPS wasn't doing their jobs, and people being stupid..

We form an all GAF Group and we got it on the first try.

The problem here is what?

End Game has so many hurdles and roadblocks just for 1 class to be leveled up correctly with iGear will cost time and a fortune

Hell I want to get everything 50, why not, want that crown!

I thought GAF was full. I was in the GAF FFXI shell for years and didn't even ask to join.

It probably won't be a problem for the people playing now (whatever ramifications to expectations aside), but new players four or so months down the line will likely run into some issues with story-required dungeons. The idea that someone will always be leveling something won't exist here (that's the reason lower level parties were constantly abundant in FFXI). Though I figure they may just turn off all the rules for dungeons very soon and let lv. 50s just sleepwalk through those to clear them (or have a friend do it for them). That seems to be more of their style these days.

As long as there are new players, there will always be people to go through dungeons with. So providing the game doesn't just stop selling all together, that won't be an issue.
The lure of new expansions in future will always bring in swathes of new players, too.

Well, depending on when you installed the game/ were able to log on, it might not have really been a choice.
 
Question about endgame.
I bought my lvl 50 GC lance and have Hetairos leggings. Do I need my Ifrit lance to fight Garuda and so on? Is it better just to spend the cash and get my relic spear quest going?
 
One thing I miss from GLD transition to PLD was the Internal Release Skill from PUG

OMFG!, Internal Release + Flight or Fight, fucking Orgasmic

The Fast Blade > Savage Blade > Rage of Halone
Mother of Christ was it amazing
