Classic Final Fantasy has always involved crystals and running around like a chicken with your head cut off. They got away from it in later games, but I'm not surprised they've returned here.
Anyone else having 90000 errors? I can't seem to go 30 minutes without crashing out... Fortunately I can get back in easily enough, but it's really annoying.

Did the dungeon Sastasha for the first time last night. After sitting in the duty finder for over an hour that is. First let me say I really dislike having important story missions being a forced grouping event and tied to such a slow system. It was a fairly boring dungeon crawl for the most part. The tank (Marauder) and I hadn't been there before but because were the most talkative at least we ended up leading. Him picking the targets and targeting them so we knew which one to attack and me being a Thaumaturge sleeping the add ons. That was until the very end where a certain amount of BS was introduced that I'm not looking forward to dealing with again.
It got worse when one of our group lost connection and the duty finder did not replace him. So it was the three us (last remaining member was a Arcanist I think had to try it at least two more times until we got.
My concern is stuff like this and more are likely waiting for me in the next dungeon Tam Tara Deepcroft. I plan on trying to tackle that tonight.
I do hope the story takes me back to Thanalan and Ul'Dah areas. There are areas there I haven't explored yet because no quest took me to them.
Environment interactions while a battle is going on and if you aren't quick enough or can tell where you have to go more enemies get introduced increasing the difficulty. I expect that kind of nonsense in a possible raid. Not a 4 person dungeon crawl.

The story will take you all over those places.. you aren't very far in if you're at tam tara.

Question, apparently I have the retail box PC version. I bought it long ago back when the game sucked. Can I play my PS3 character and free time I have on PC, or what? My free time is obviously expired on the PC. I guess if I want to play on PC, I'm going to have to start paying the subscription now?

Yeah, it was back before 1.0. I got a voucher for free garlond googles. So I couldn't download the realm reborn client with this registration code? Oh well, figured I'd ask.
You can remove the token from your account settings.
Login here: https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/login?cont=account
On the left, under "Services and Options", choose "One time password".
Thats where you can remove your current security token and add another. Keep in mind that, once you remove a security token, you cannot use it ever again. Youll have to buy another.
The sofware token (phone app) is a bit different.
Go here: https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/coercioncan
And key in your SE ID, password, and the emergency removal password they gave you when you registered the app with your account. After that, it will disable the software token on your account and youll be running with no additional security until you re-register the app to your account.

someone help me with garuda ;_;
- Garuda must be tanked away from the stone pillars as her cleave will break them
- Party members must stay away from the stone pillars due to an attack that Garuda will do that will break them via trajectory
- When Garuda teleports and begins a wind blast, hide behind the tallest pillars to mitigate DMG
- When Garuda creates adds, all DPS must burn them down immediately while simultaneously staying way from the pillars (good luck)
- Phase 2 (50%HP) Garuda teleports to center, hide behind pillars to mitigate her blast, she destroys the pillars and you stay within the calm zone
- (15%HP) Garuda will teleport and damage the group with a large spell, I used my Tanking Limit Break to mitigate this DMG
Log into your SE account management - and you'll see an option on the left side bar for the one time password authenticator. It'll then give you an option to remove it, which requires the serial number and a one time password entry.

I tried again got 6001'd or something to my desktop, then tried again and got JP servers down and was able to get in this time.

-the game's max server concurrent user (now 7500~7800) is max and they won't be able to increase that cap. So they will be adding new servers.
-they duty finder group will increase from 2(current) to 3.
-they will have a service where people will be able to move their characters to different servers
-they will be investing more on the infrastructure/server for FFXIV.

Pretty sure you don't have to buy a copy of ARR if you bought the original XIV, it's free.
I didn't buy ARR PC but I'm a Legacy player so I got it free (and just bought the PS3 verison seperately) I'm not sure where you stand, I'm assuming you didn't play the game considering you only just realised you bought it, so you're not Legacy, but you still purchased the original game, hmm.

You can play using a 1.0 Key. I gave a cheap 1.0 key I got yoinks ago (When a shop was selling them for 2) to a friend last week and he is able to play no bother

Hey, I've noticed some people have gotten a Phial for "purchasing FFXIV 1.0" and some others that haven't gotten the Phial despite purchasing FFXIV 1.0. Is this thing coming out in waves or something?

Shit like that raises my blood pressure and just makes me want to go play something else. Easier to blist I guess, but still. Also, name and shame. If I ever come across that person in a dungeon I'd just leave straight away. Save me lots of time and stress.
