Well it lets you change everything but your name. I can see Square selling one for $15-20 that lets you change everything INCLUDING name in a month or two.
Yeah, I got hella character remorse about my character after seeing all the Lalafells in game. I want to make a Lalafell that looks like Nanoha. I already plan on naming my Chocobo I just got Raising Heart.
I like my name though, despite it just being an anagram of my online name lol.
It was 100% luck and hard work to improve on each try on everyone's part.

LOL you can't even send friend requests in Duty Finder. Or get any other info off them. I really want to stuff my friend list full so when I become max level and get my White Mage gear on I can wreck some endgame stuff.
Btw, do anyone have a lip discoloration issue with their characters? Whenever my character's face is covered up or in that blue crystal trippy environment her lips change color. I didn't give her any weird shade on her lips or anything.

I'm kinda digging all of the VA for the Scions, some of them are a bit ott, but I think because they're British instead of American, it works.

I'll get to it. It's just a TON of space because fraps is all uncompressed, then there's all the time it takes cause I have to not move anything.
So i'm working on ways to not compromise filesize for quality (which I did for these tests), which will probably just be to buy another external HDD. I managed to cram like 2 hours into 2 minutes heh.

rage in duty finder? you mean angry people? it's not hard to give a brief description or to explore things on your own. besides, try alt tab on ps3. not gonna work.
We did the last dungeon last night for tomes. It was 5 of our guys and 3 randoms who have never done it before they said "we haven't done this yet is that ok we can skip cutscenes if you want".
We were like you can watch them and they seemed relieved telling us the last dungeon they did they got ripped apart.
A shout out to Myra, Ravishan and Xarielle. I'll never step into Qarn ever again (probably =p) but it was a nice group, especially after that first one with the other tank we had.
I admit that I didn't think we'd manage to kill the last boss, but I kept running. I'm sure glad we managed to do it!

Here are my Warrior Macro's so far.
I kept these Macro's simple, and separate, so that I'd have more control over combat. If something abruptly changes, I'm already potentially sacrificing responsiveness by making this combo automatic, so I don't want to make these combo's any longer than they already are.
Actually, I might make the wait on Butcher's Block 3.5 seconds, just to give me an opportunity to interrupt the combo if I need to use an item, or a Stun move.
I'll probably add Bloodbath and Berserk to this at some point, I'm just not yet convinced it makes sense to cast them with the rest of the Buffs. /echo allows you to send a message to yourself on you can see, so it gives you some sort of visual Que to show when your Buffs are ready to go again.

I bought a PC copy of FFXIV in May of 2011 I believe. I didn't play it all that much. I applied for the beta. I got an e-mail awhile later saying "we noticed you haven't registered your beta code yet" when that was the first e-mail I had gotten about a beta code. I registered it and nothing happened. I didn't pursue it any further. So I never ended up trying the beta. I also got an e-mail about world transfer services for my existing character. I followed those steps, but again, I haven't pursued it since then.
My friends are playing ARR and are really enjoying it, so I figured I'd give it another shot. I'm trying to find a way I can actually play the game, as I was under the impression that since I own the original game, I don't need to buy a copy of ARR. But I'm seeing no place for me to be able to download and install the game. Also, the old Lodestone has my character info on it. The new Lodestone won't let me log in because it says I need to make a character in-game. At this point I am half confused and half frustrated. Does anyone have any idea what I'm supposed to do to actually play the game short of buying a new copy?

I put up some wind crystals (100 at 90 gil each) which was the lowest price on the board, and I refreshed the board and then they were instantly undercut, with people putting as low as 40 gil each

Ran the benchmark for shits an giggles again on PC. I got a 4585 at 1920x1080p. I had to turn off ambient occlusion and screen glare though. Sure hope I can play this on PC! I think the lowest the fps got on the benchmark was 22. Now just to wait for stores to sell it again.
Surely I can at least solo quest and it look good.

Quarry Mill sure is great for FATE farming though, I don't have a huge map to run all around for and I can usually contribute enough so I have some nice EXP. When can I get a retainer?

Retainers are unlocked after you complete the story quests in Sastasha, Tam-Tara, and Copperbell (plus a little traveling after that). So after the first three dungeons, basically.

You can sell crystals? I thought they were untradeable?

Can you use a PS2/3 style controller on the PC version? One of the things I like about the PS3 version.
So does anyone know what changes the reward for tradecraft leves? Been spamming the walnut lumber one to level, and twice yesterday instead of the reward being 4 walnut logs, it was 42 wind/ice shards. And since it's a triple turn in, I got 126 in the end. Saw another lower level one with 42 shards as the reward too, but most of the time it just seems to be 4 shards.
I know I've seen some people run into problems with their shard supply and figure this might be a quick and easy way to get more.

Yep. The PC version actually has PS-style button icons and a default setup that matches the layout used by most PS2 adapters/MotionInJoy.

Depending on who you get the chest as a reward from, they're sometimes different colors. Like the ones from the Guild Masters tend to be different from normal quests that give you the same armor set. Good thing dyes are pretty cheap.

Sweet. I'm already use to controlling everything that way, since I'm playing the PS3 version. Only thing I hated was targeting, but I fixed that issue.

Are they open to explanation or teaching them the right way to do something? Also why not try making your own party first via locals or free company people, then join the finder with whatever you have left?
I have not had to wait for a few days now.
