"Mario Kart" should be the new (unlockable) Mario character. It could either drive itself or be helmed by Lakitu (who is the mascot of the Mario Kart series in a way). Its standard attacks would be a variety of turns, flips, wheelies, and bumps. Its special moves could include a ramp jump with glider recovery, an engine rev/turbo boost, and a randomized item box. The Final Smash could be a Bullet Bill transformation or a blue shell.

Rosalina is meh compared to Waluigi. I can understand Daisy (she's a tomboy, likes playing sports etc etc), but Rosalina has...nothing.

Represents the excellent Galaxy games, has an actual backstory beyond 'Camelot needed a doubles partner for Wario' (which I'll admit is actually pretty funny) and you see her doing stuff like astral projecting herself to areas, using lumas and floating around which while nothing amazing still automatically gives her more to work with than Waluigi does. Plus she's another female rep.
Also this. SMASH SHOULD BE ALL INCLUSIVE.
I love the Paper Mario series and even liked Sticker Star for the most part (SPM's the only real dud in my opinion), but Paper Mario would just feel like 'X' character but in a different art style. Toon Link at least has the distinction of being a different person to regular Link and unless SSB4 needs quick clone characters again I'd prefer a more original rep get in.

I really like Waluigi and I want him in, but I understand why other people wouldn't and the Mario series technically has 8 characters already. There's still an absolutely massive library of titles to choose from that remain untapped and deserve to be put in the spotlight.

i dislike the inclusion of 3rd party characters immensely. i also hope sonic and snake got cut. Mega Man is way better than those two tho.

Mario himself could represent the Mario Galaxy series if they just replaced his FLUUD, and I would prefer that Sakurai pull from Wario Land or WarioWare for another female rep.

I doubt Paper Mario would be a clone, unless they are really out of ideas. For one thing he needs a paper airplane glide move, and he could use the hammer and a bunch of other unique items from the game.

Waluigi has that long slender frame and that booming personality. He is a great catch. Not to say that I don't appreciate BBW's, because I do, but I still suspect that Rosalina is just Peach with a different dress and hairdo.

I don't think we will have three characters reveal during October as some people claimed that we would, so I would bet that it's more likely to be Pokemon reveal such as Lucario or Pokemon Trainer. I'm not sure about Sonic and Wind Waker since I have a feeling that Sonic and Snake wouldn't survive the cut this time.

Yeah, and the mega star power from SPM might make a good FS unless there is a better one from PM/TTYD. Haven't played those in a while.

It's more it's literally the same person but in a different art-style. You could easily give a ton of similar characters like Toon Link/Shadow Mario/Dr. Mario/Baby Mario unique movesets, but to me I just don't see the point unless you're pressed for time to choose something like that over a unique rep character-wise, not necessarily moveset wise.
I just don't want Bowser Jr. since I find him annoying, he debuted in my least favorite mainline Mario game and he effectively replaced the Koopalings for nearly a decade.
I think New Leaf either had a delayed release in Aus or I just decided to get it later than other people, so I wound up completely avoiding that thread. If the stuff on tumblr/4chan's anything to go off I'm guessing it was due to the fucking dog secretary? :V
