It's time like these that I wish Sony would bring back Playstation Underground.

Regardless of what's being revealed, these conferences have been great for Sony, say nothing, let the hype go through the roof.

Completely forgot about Vita XL rumour we had before, it could be announced here or at TGS. I'd love a Vita XL, with a 6 inch screen, PS4 analog stick, L2 and R2 triggers for good remote play. Have the bonus of being able to use Vita XL as DS4 for PS4.

The news we've all been waiting for: Japaneese release date.

Information beyond expectation: Japaneese centric games.

I say a secondary color for Japan and a Dec 6th release date. Also a dynasty warriors announcement lol and a list of Japanese partners.

I'm already a happy bunny, so anything they announce would be an extra raisin in my garibaldi biscuit.

I given up on TLG at this point.

ICO HD is going free to Plus this month it all makes sense now, ahh forget won't get hopes up

It's the "beyond expectations" part that has me curious.... It's not beyond expectations to expect a release date. Surprising game announcements would be "beyond expectations"

Even if aimed at an Asian market, Unless the translation is off, a release date seems underwhelming and for me, a bit on the unwarranted hype side. Yea, people want PS4 to release in there respective territory, and if you don't have a date yet, it is something to be waiting for, but that wouldn't go beyond your expectations in the slightest, even if it launched earlier than expected.

I dunno, The Last Guardian is the only thing that people are "waiting" for IMO...to not show it will be disappointing after reading that hype. The fact that it was removed though doesn't sound good, as well as comments from some of the mods here.

meh, not getting my hopes up, but just a little ticked that message was even sent out, and definitely disappointed TLG is still not done yet...smh

But what news have we been waiting for? It's clearly not a complete surprise if we are waiting for it already. I would bet Last Guardian in playable form with release date maybe.

that's what i thought, but I don't see any of the Sony guys here adding to the hype, but only deflating it with more reasonable expectations.

For me, that's a bit of a slap from Sony manufacturing unwarranted help for a release date. I wonder if that's why it was taken down or is some of this hype due to translation differences between Japanese and English...still, dumb move...

The news I've been waiting for? Well, if they announce a new PaRappa game at the conference I'd be thrilled.

I can't imagine anything other than launch info would come out on a pre-show event instead of the "main" presentation.

I personally think this is more like the Playstation meeting from february, but for the Japanese.

Id Guess 1 hour made of:

Intro 2 mins
showing the box and talking about playstation 8 mins
Show OS in more depth 5 mins
Recap already announced Sony launch titles and Second son 10 mins
Show some Japan centric games (MGS, FF, Deep Down, Kingdom hearts) 15 minutes
Announce 2 big japanese games not at launch (10 mins)
Announce a release date and price 5 mins
Announce a release game for Japan 5 mins (Final fantasy 14? depends on release date obviously)

So we get:
3 games announced, 1 at Japan launch
launch date and price for Asia

All guesses but Since the Playstation reveal I've been roughly right about my guesses (though only guessed 8 games revealed at gamescom not 16)

They seem to be spot on in their marketing and business strategy so far.

Not getting hyped up for TLG. I don't think its much more than the release date for japan.

It's totally just the release date for Japan. I'm pretty sure when they say "you" in "the moment you've been waiting for" (whatever the phrase is), they mean the Japanese. Japan hasn't received their release date.Put that info together and boom: Japan release date...

Isn't this more akin to the February PS4 reveal, in that case most of the new titles where revealed, at E3 they focused on price/launch date. Also seems like this one is streamed (internationally), while TGS won't be.

But as stated previously, a launch date won't have much impact without local titles.
