GTA V has gone gold.

Cats >>>>>>>>> Dogs.

Fuck dogs.

GTFO. Terrifying.

The question is:

-Do we have enough time to complete and experience this game in 8 weeks, before Next GEN?? (FKIN 8 weeks, damnn) - Are there any indications of this or can we extrapolate the time with world size vs GTA4
- What was the GTA 4 platinum time vs expected time for GT5 - I normally dont platinum many games, but recently have done so with the last 2 massive AAA games, Bioshock infinite and The last of US, just because the quality is few and far between.

game looks unreal.

However, Grove Street is in GTA5. In the Franklin trailer, you see some graffiti that says "Grove".

Aye, but what that guy means is right.. Grove Street is where CJ is from, it's the block, but the green gang itself is actually "The Families." Similarly, there are different gangs of ballas and vagos...

- Front Yard Ballas
- Rollin' heights ballas (from the first cut scene in the game)

CJ's gang was the Grove Street Families. But in the "Reuniting the Families" mission, you get a good look at some of the others... There's the Seville Boulevard Families (you originally rescue Sweet from an attack, they also wear green and look like Grove Street) and Temple Drive Families (I don't remembe any other missions with these).

Major reason I'm passing on nextgen is because of GTAV. There isn't a single game that comes close to impressing me as much... Sure some look a lot better an the consoles look much better, but there isn't a game announced or being released in the next four or five months that hooks me. Watch Dogs looks good to me, but I know I'll get a lot more play out of V.

I expect GTA Online to launch on the next gen sometime in 2014 or 2015. I'll probably get a next gen console when next year's sports games come out, or around tax time.

8 weeks is a long time. Plus, next gen doesn't automatically mean we can't enjoy GTA V anymore.

It is not a requirement to buy the next-gen consoles on Day 1. You put that all on your own and whether you do not think 8 weeks is enough to fully enjoy GTA V is entirely up to you as well.

And it probably take more than 100 hours depending on how the collectibles are spread out, considering you got the ocean to explore as well.

I am getting an Xbox One but it will NOT cut into my GTA V experience at all. I will happily play both and enjoy the hell out of it; here is to an amazing fall/winter!

GTA V is more next gen then next gen.

I guess its more of a personal time restriction then reading your opinions, I guess I have been waiting on next Gen for 8 years ish and its something im massively looking forward too and Im getting mine day 1. I do anticipate with Sonys twitter leak (about GTA being on PS4) that it will eventually end up there, However I cant miss this GTA hype train for 8 weeks. I understand that this is the PERFECT game to see you until after xmas and possibly beyond. Im not so sure how much life the current gen system will get come November. (for me)

As mentioned though, 8 weeks is a long time, winter is closing, night time is getting earlier, I think GTA will look after itself :)

This. I'm getting a PS4 but will be playing the shit out of GTA V. Especially if there's (lol) a season pass for dlc.

I was going to get some of my backlog done before GTAV came out but now that there's literally a week left, fuck it. I don't even care if I still have to finish a bajillion games, GTAV takes propriety over everything.

When's the OT up by the way? And has the final name for it been decided?

all recent rockstar games had a season pass so its pretty much a given for gta 5

I know, the parentheses was me laughing at how the gaming industry is, how season passes are almost a given.

Worth it every penny, TLAD wasn't that great but still great, I'm sure GTA V DLC will be just as good.

Wait what? Where? How?

Please god be true.

But I'm pretty sure it's not. OT is at Midnight tonight, maybe that's what you're thinking?

I'm guessing im completely wrong here, but in my head, OT = Online Trailer?.. (albeit already seen 1)

If that's the case im happy enough..

Grand Theft Auto V |OT| Chop till you drop

Haha I wish! haha OT is "Official Topic".

For GTA in this case. It gives us all a place to talk and hype about the game the week running up to release. Gaf has an "OT" for almost every big release just so we don't have like a hundred topics about GTA. Keeps things organized.

Though this topic has basically been the pre-OT OT...

BTW, LTTP means Late to the Party, and RTTP: means Return to the Party. These confused the hell out of me when I joined.

I'm trying to finish up San Andreas this week. Just got to Catalina's last bank robbery yesterday.. Hopefully I can make it in time.
