Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | September 2013 | Token Indie Thread

Thinking about it, Shahid was likely referring to SEGA. He said him and his boss looked at a list of games from a publisher and fainted:

- Phantasy Star Nova
- Hatsune Miku Project Diva f2
- SanSaku
- Football Manager Classic Edition 2014
- Likely Yakuza game
- Project 575

Need a new game to fill in the void left from completing SMTIV. Havent been using my Vita since SMTIV came out.

What's a good game, RPG preferably, with a good story, great gameplay, well realized world with unique art direction? I'm considering Dragons Crown. But the games length, and my suspicion that the game is repetitive with recycled levels (like Muramasa) is holding me back.

Simply put, there is no (localized) game similar to SMTIV or any traditional full-length JRPG available right now in the Vita. Except Persona 4 Golden.

People may argue that stuff like Soul Sacrifice is a JRPG, but it's a very different style of game than traditional JRPGs.

Dragon's Crown will last you a while, especially if you want to tackle optional contents, but it can be repetitive yes, with multiple incursions to the same dungeons required over and over and over again....

If he is then these games are pretty much confirmed for localization? He does work for scee and not scej.

girls please buy a vita please sure these are old games but c'mon please

As a matter of fact that bundle is selling very well (considering the numbers shipped).
The publisher warned today that they'll be short of stock very soon.

this breaks my already wounded heart </3

man not sure if anyone posted this but Vita 2.0 has a smaller rear touchpad?
someone on Reddit posted comparisons!

They probably did this because people complain of accidentally touching the back panel.

The announcement is for the Japanese market though. I think they are unrelated.

Hey, you never know, with Ubisoft one of the heavy supporters for the vita.

Btw, vitafolks, a vita redditor found that by using square during web browsing, a mouse cursor shows up and you can control with the left stick and with it on, triangle activates the link opening options. Its hardly huge news but still, a neat finding.

Shown with this images

Edit: Pics arent showing up, heres the reddit link instead: http://www.reddit.com/r/vita/comments/1m139a/if_you_hit_square_in_the_vita_browser_a_cursor/

sheesh. one guy at the KH HD OT thinks it's cause "Vita doomed"
T_T

Lol yeah, happens a lot. It's easier to rinse and repeat a phrase than to actually think about the facts for a while. If that were truly the case, then FF X/X-2 HD would have been cancelled by SE for Vita already. Yet the games are still coming to our beloved portable.

On a different note, I can't wait to see the Vita TV get some traction (the Value Pack is already No. 4 in Games on Amazon Japan) and devs starting to bring more games to Vita because of that (and without the touch stuff as a bonus).

It makes me both happy and sad that I don't like the look of the new Vita. Happy because I don't feel all that tempted to upgrade, and sad because at some point I'll probably have to upgrade if one of my Vitas dies, and it will have to be this one. I don't know. I like some things about it for sure (the thinness, the smaller rear touchpad with proper aspect ratio, and the extra hour of battery life), but no OLED and that bad look ruin it a little for me.

Same for me. I really like everything except for that hideous screen frame and the LCD. But then I pick up my black shinny first-gen Vita and I know I won't upgrade. That build quality and OLED are just too awesome.

I'm picking up a 2nd hand Vita later with Uncharted and Little Deviants. Anything to know / keep in mind? The guy says it's an EU Vita but Vitas are region free. Is resetting the memory card to the US simple? Is it possible to have 2 memory cards then just keep swapping them for multiple regions?

Resetting the card isn't hard, just tedious and and annoying as you have to go through a long intro video every time.
Yes to your last question but as i said before, it is annoying.

That is 5 singapore dollars more than USD$100 before tax. I presume 100 bucks will be the price of a 64gb in the west.

wondering if Amazon.com will have it any cheaper. hmm but may just get it from Qisahn.
are you buying it?

eh do we really need a PlayStation Vita Singapore admin page? lol i can't manage it myself

Wait for black friday man. If the mem card comes out in the US before that, I'd say there is a chance of a sale.

Qisahn will probably be a couple of bucks less than 139 I think. They are usually pretty good with their prices.

So what are some good rhythm, and puzzle games coming, out or already out for that matter?

Trying to get the dust off my vita as I haven't played it since I picked up MGS HD on it.

Virtue's Last Reward is a great game with lots of puzzles, as well as Jacob Jones.

If you meant a puzzle game like tetris, there are games like Lumines, and a couple of pretty good ones on PSM.

There are rhythm games like kickbeat, cytus lambda (on PSM), and DJ Max

was pretty tempted to get another 32GB but I'm glad I waited
really wondering if I should get a Black Vita OLED instead.

I keep checking for the store update that will add Mercenary, even though I know it'll probably be late Tuesday night. Wish I could at least preload it :/

The multiplayer in Assassin's Creed: Liberation is so boring. I just need the multiplayer trophies now...

If the touchpad is smaller, how does one play a game like Escape Plan? Sure it would still work, but you'll have to move characters over the touchpad area to pinch them (or adjust the camera). Seems like an odd change.

Seems that now lots of people are willing to buy that VitaTV thing. I only have one television at home, so I will probably pass for now. Once I have a PS4 I'll start thinking about a TV for my bedroom.

And I just hope Soul Sacrifice hits PS+ soon. I've been playing the demo and the game is amazing, but I don't want to buy it and spend another 35$ in 6 months. It's very fast paced if you use the proper weapons and controls are sooo much better than God Eater. Furthermore, there is a better sense of progression and empowerment and the story is nice. I feel bad when I
sacrificed Sortiara.

And playing 99/1 must be tough. In the demo I did the Golem Avalon Pact with a 9/1 build (I evade most atacks, so I'll stick with a chaos) and i lose like half my HP with one hit.

So I am downloading stuff through wifi on my newly acquired Vita, but the download speed is completely terrible. I have a 50mbps connection, but the download speed is a mere 1mbps. I've tried going into the Internet connection test and it also states I am only able to download with around 600-9000 kbps :(

Downloading something like Littlebigplanet takes 2 hours for me.

What is wrong? What can I do to fix this shit?

I'm dreading when my OLED Vita dies. But the best compensating quality of the Vita 2000 for me is the one you don't mention - that it is 15% lighter. I like to hold my Vita 7 inches from my eyes. Maybe I won't feel so bad if the replacement is powder blue.

Quoting from the Vita TV thread.

Apparently Japan is loving it. Already sold out on Amazon.jp

The sold out SKU is the one that includes a controller. Reckon that the early buyers don't have an extra controller lying around for the room they want to put this in.
